My vote it yes, because i want to see it, even though the idea of Pacquiao-Williams seems almost fictional haha

I've been holding out for a long time but I have to say after tonight I don't think you can make a case that Pac shouldn't fit into AT LEAST the top 10 ATG, i think its even likely closer to top 5 ATG, guys like Robinson, Armstrong, Pep Louis etc are still ahead, but he is closing fast! He HAS to face Mayweather, and maybe even a guy like Sergio Martinez if he wants number 1, but i am thoroughly impressed by the Pac-monster!:boxing:

Seems like both these guys need a fight to get motivated for, and prove if they are still word class fighters. I think these old rivals should meet oen more time at 168, who agrees?:boxing:

It seems like lately on the B-scene you can't like the Pac-Man and the Pretty boy at the same time. I have to admit I enjoy Manny's fights more, and I detest Mayweather's out of ring persona, but at the end of the day I have much respect for both of them, and I think they are both greats (not sure about all time greats though, I'm gonna abstain from making that judgment until they are retired and conclude their careers.)I'm sick of Flomos and Pactards, i just love how many amazing fighters are in the sport at this moment. I'm sick of hearing their respective fanbases bash either of these fighters. Its as simple as this, Mayweather left because he thought he was done with the sport of boxing, and during that hiatus Pacquiao ascended to the p4p #1. Not only was the buzz surrounding Pacquiao enormous, but he was a fan favorite, and had an air of intimidation that Floyd has previously been unable to cultivate. Floyd, who feels all criticism of his HOF career is unjustified came back, probably expecting the sport to take him in and once again elevate him as its greatest champion. Instead, he has had to fight for his place in the sport for the first time in years. So when fights negotiations came around for Pacquiao-Mayweather, egos were running high, and both camps had a profound dislike for one another. This testing isnt about PEDs its about who gets to dictate the terms of the fight, and therefore who is in control. Pacquiao hasnt submitted to testing because from his perspective he is a clean fighter who has never had nay reason to be accused of using PEDs and not only that but he is the best p4p fighter in the world who shouldnt have to submit to the demands of any other fighter. Likewise, Mayweather sees himself as the best fighter in the world who should be able to dictate terms to any fighter, for any fight. Its as simple as that. No one is running scared, no one is juicing. Its just two egos which need to somehow be maneuvered in order ot accomadate one another for a big fight. Its as simple as that folks...

Now I know discussion of female boxing is pretty much nonexistent on the bscene but I'm a fan of quality boxing in all forms and I just finished watching a few St. John fights and I gotta say, they were quite entertaining. Does anyone have any other suggestions for quality fights between female fighters? It's too bad male-female fights are not easily sanctioned, I would pick a prime St. John to beat a few of the lighter-fisted welterweights in recent history (Heres looking at you Malignaggi) :p

I would love to see this fight get made by the end of the year, who you all got? I see Mosley winning an exciting decision. :boxing:

Recently I have been reading a lot of posts taking about moving up in weight classes, and the significance it has on a fighter's ATG standing. In particular, a lot of posters use the fact that Mayweather has held titles in multiple weight classes as justification for putting him higher on their ATG lists than guys like Roy Jones, B-Hop, and James Toney. However, I think when we look at how a fighter transitions between weight classes it is important to look at who the fight, and what titles they accumulate. I propose that Bernard Hopkins deserves more credit for his multi-division accomplishments than does Floyd Mayweather. Hopkins knows how to do it right, he moves into a new division and immediately goes after 'the man' whether it be Tito Trinidad, Antonio Tarver, or Tomasz Adamek (admittedly this fight isn't happening but it was discussed). Mayweather on the other hand has seemed to rely on his unbeaten record and an accumulation of lesser titles to make up for the fact that he has not established himself as 'the man' in any one division in at least 4 years. At the end of the day they are both great fighters, but I have to give the nod to B-Hop on my atg list. So, who do you guys think has implemented the better strategy when it comes to transitioning between weight classes?

Im sick of all the hate Ali gets on here from all the so called 'boxing fans' who paint the ceiling everytime the rest of the world has to suffer through a tedious Klitschko patty-cake-a-thon. The man is an Olympic gold medalist, and fought the best, the rest and anyone else worth his time. He sparred with future world champions, and beat the likes of Cooper, Patterson, Foreman, Frazier, Quarry, Liston, Mathis, Chuvalo, Foster, Norton, Moore, and Spinks. Lastly, Ali had a charisma and ambition which propelled him to greatness outside the ring, making him into a world reknown icon, somethign neitehr Klitschko will ever accomplish. I understand wanting to respect the current heavyweight champions albeit lackluster ones, but there is no need for all the negativity Ali receives on these boards.

How can he recover from his recent string of defeats? I think he needs to get back to his style, and stop trying to fight in the pocket, put on some more boxing clinics...:boxing:

Just wanted to pose this question; Which active fighters deliver the most entertaining fights? For me it would definitely be Winky, Gatti, and Wladimir Klitschko.
