I'm sick of hearing their respective fanbases bash either of these fighters. Its as simple as this, Mayweather left because he thought he was done with the sport of boxing, and during that hiatus Pacquiao ascended to the p4p #1. Not only was the buzz surrounding Pacquiao enormous, but he was a fan favorite, and had an air of intimidation that Floyd has previously been unable to cultivate. Floyd, who feels all criticism of his HOF career is unjustified came back, probably expecting the sport to take him in and once again elevate him as its greatest champion. Instead, he has had to fight for his place in the sport for the first time in years. So when fights negotiations came around for Pacquiao-Mayweather, egos were running high, and both camps had a profound dislike for one another. This testing isnt about PEDs its about who gets to dictate the terms of the fight, and therefore who is in control. Pacquiao hasnt submitted to testing because from his perspective he is a clean fighter who has never had nay reason to be accused of using PEDs and not only that but he is the best p4p fighter in the world who shouldnt have to submit to the demands of any other fighter. Likewise, Mayweather sees himself as the best fighter in the world who should be able to dictate terms to any fighter, for any fight. Its as simple as that. No one is running scared, no one is juicing. Its just two egos which need to somehow be maneuvered in order ot accomadate one another for a big fight. Its as simple as that folks... Exactly. If I was either of these dudes I would not allow another fighter to dictate terms. The whole thing about if you clean why turn down x number of millions of dollars is BullS! If you're not already making millions of $'s of course you're going to take any and every test all day long. If you haven't noticed neither of these guys is hittin' up soup kitchens. They'll make money regardless through investments, endorsements, next fight, etc. At this point in their careers they're not going to allow anyone to disrespect them and then dictate terms on top of that.

I've said it from the start, Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao are not going to let Floyd Mayweather control them. Floyd is not bigger than the sport, and Pacquiao is the bigger man right now.

once again the penalty is there because in his very last fight, Floyd proved he is willing to come in overweight. Just like I dont fault Margarito's next opponent for being extra careful in checking his wraps, or Floyd for making sure Mosley is tested for PEDs, I don't blame Manny for wanted to make sure Floyd does come in at the contractual weight. I dont doubt Floyd can make 147, but if he wants people to trust that he will, he needs to demonstrate that by always making his contracted weight for fights. I mean, the entire Maywetaher-Marquez promotion was surrounded in controversy regarding the weight, to the point where there were articles a week before the fight discussing what weight the fight was even going to be held at, not exactly normal. If Pacquiao comes in overweight for Clottey I absolutely feel that he should be subjected to the same penalty n his next few fights at or around that weight.
