I remeber Ring Magazine saying after he beat Tejedor how he would pick up titles from Fly to Feather or better and was a Hall of Fame Lock. The hype around him and Junior Jones coming up has not been equaled since. That is no exaggeration either. Romero stayed loyal to his father for way too long and could have done better with a wordclass trainer. The Romero-Tapia fight got alot of Hype being a 115 battle more than any before or since.
It is up there with the biggest but I have seen worse in less marquee fights. Miguel Angel Gongalez-Lamar Murphy was the worst title fight robbery I have witnessed. Chavez-Randall II was pretty bad as well, with Chavez punking out and getting the WBC extra point for receiving a cut from a head butt.

This is a situation where Malignaggi is going to pick up a belt for having beaten a journeyman. Malignaggi will win every round and is definitely strong enough to handle himself against N'Dou. N'Dou doesn't throw any straight punches and will find himself in over his head.
Ndou is a nice guy and does alot things well but has no great qualities. He is slightly better than a journeyman, just by a little. He is troubled by speed and struggled against Damian Fuller a little. Paul will be pitching a shutout I think as well.

Then one day I was hitting the bag and i walked away for my 1 minute break while th ebell rang and Ray stole my bag. I said thats my bag and he said "do you know who i am? Exactly right in the last statement. I beat a 30 year old novice as a teen as a amateur, thinking I had done something. I went home and my old man brought me back to earth saying "Hell at 16 you should have beaten him much worse". The stupid part is Morrison was an accomplished Amateur with probably tons of experience at the time is not impressive you are so right. People can't figure out they used his breif toughman experience as an excuse to feed him bums early as a pro. Saying he lacked an amateur background and this was false.

In his comeback boxing bout he went to a state that does not do blood tests. Hell, Texas denied him a license to fight.
I have been a Morrison fan for a good 18 years since his early ESPN days pre Rocky 5. I hate to agree with the guy who said he was a jerk in school, but I have usually only heard negative things about him personally. Keep in mind this is the same guy who pummeled a college student for staring at him in a diner, he is no saint or even a decent person for sure.
