George Foreman Was The Greatest Boxer Of ALL Time (Pound 4 Pound)

No i'm over my Bias or overrating of Tyson. I don't make excuses for him annymore and Holyfield has become one of my favorite fighters. Foreman has zero haters, and there is nobody to tell people to stop overrating him(While there are hundreds who do Tyson). The guy is just like Tyson, people think he's God and you know he's always being overrated, the diffirence is that it's tolerated for Foreman. That's bullshit and needs to stop. i rate foreman as number 4 i can see your point foreman is hard to hate because he came back as this big chubby teddy bear saying 'my goodness' every sentence. i think you'll find even the foreman fans posting in this thread shot down thethread starter proclaiming foreman to be the G.O.A.T pretty quickly. i think there are alot of tyson haters here thanks to some of these young posters who say he would whoop any heavies ass in one round, catskills for one. maybe these nuthuggers have made some of the more seasoned intelligent posters look on tyson unfavourably, if thats true its a shame.

if goerge foreman had his old style he used in his second career, in his first career.. theres not a doubt in my mind he would be the greatest heavyweight all time.. the man beat shannon briggs when he was 48 i think i might agree with this. if foreman had boxed he would have been almost unstoppable. he wouldn't have had the stamina issues he had when he was throwing bombs constantly. his fights would have lasted longer though and he wouldn't have been the human wrecking ball!

wasn't that fight fought in like 115 degree heat? that could explain how it could look like he was drugged when it was just a level of heat and humidity that his body wasn't accustomed to.

i dont know about that but george foreman is one of my favorite boxers of all time...he doesnt get the recognition he deserves....

i would question anyone who doesn;t rate foreman amongst the top 5 heavies of all time but not as much as i would someone who rates him No 1!

It's funny how people leave his name out of the mix of top boxers strictly because of his loss to Ali when it's been well documented that sleeping pills were slipped into his water resulting in the unconditioned, wobbly version of Big George we saw at The Rumble In The Jungle. But all that aside, and keeping in mind that he would've walked through Ali that night had it been on fair terms, how many boxers can say that they came back to win the Heavyweight title at age 45? That alone is a truly tremendous accomplishment that will probably never be done again and only a top level fighter could've done something like that. So keeping all that in mind, and considering how powerful and agile for his size he was when he was in his hay-day, i challenge you to name me just 1 fighter who pound for pound was as good as Foreman was when he was in his prime. Let's hear it because i think this is an arguement you can't win. whether he was drugged or not foreman would never have beaten ali. foreman just did not have the ring intelligence to cope with someone so tough

Foremon was a monstor puncher with no skills, any person thinks Big Gerorge was the greatest boxer of all time, needs to put the crack pipe down! Foremon was great because of his power, that's all! I agree, not the greatest but definitley one of the greatest.
