Audley has struggled with bums his whole career - that's why this fight is a horrible mis-match.
I'm a big fan of Haye but I'm really disappointed with this fight. It would only be somewhat acceptable if Haye was fighting 4 times a year and he squeezed this one in to make some easy money from the UK PPV sales. As he only fights once a year, this is a terrible waste of time.
Harrisson doesn't have a prayer in this one - he's going to get ko'd and it's going to be ambarrassingly easy.
Not a great fighter by any means but he was a titlist for quite a while - Johnny Nelson. I think he actually lost his first 3 fights. His record at the start of his career was awful.
There are quite a few fighters who've lost their first fight but I don't know if losing one fight can really be deemed a disaster. Rafa Marquez lost his debut, for instance, but I think it was against a former champ, so that's not a big deal.
As I remember it, after their second fight GBP were calling for an immediate re-match but Arum said they should wait a while and the third fight build up. That said to me that Arum didn't want to make a third fight because, realistically, it's never going to be any bigger or btter than it was then.
Manny has grown into the bigger weights and he's probably too big for JMM now, who shouldn't be fighting any higher than 135 (I think he could probably still make 130).
I would have loved a third fight back then. I had the first fight even and JMM winning the second 114-113.
Haye didn't even need sparring of this quality to beat Harrisson. The fact he has been doing good work with a fighter like Thompson should convince anyone who harbours delusions Audley might win, that it's not going to happen.
