"I know it may sound strange from someone like me, but I was in awe of him when we met"....Yeah, because the great Ricky Hatton could never be in awe of anyone could he?
hahah...said exactly what I was thinking.
Peter Fury basically said there's not enough money to take this risk in a recent interview.
I saw that interview, the 25 or so minute one correct? That's not what he was saying. He was simply stating the obvious about this sport, it doesn't last forever and its the only sport where a loss really means something. Means less pay for the next fight, and a notch further away from a title. So all he was explaining was from a business stand point that it has to be smart and provide padding for each side because someone is walking away different than they came in.
if he caught lara with his mallet hands he will for sure catch canelo, he had lara in deep water but lara fought back like real Gs do. can canelo show hes G'd up or will he fold!?
Lara made it out of that because he's a highly skilled boxer puncher like canelo himself is, not because of.....being g'd up....i hope your not one of those people who thought Adrien broner was the next Floyd.
I hope Victor Ortiz gets rocked so hard it frightens the **** out of him. I hope he steps away from this fight and never wants to even look at a boxing ring again. This kid is the biggest ***** and is a disgrace to boxing, he intimidates nobody.
Wilder doesn't want anything to do with Fury. Hence the mouthing off as soon as Fury signs up to fight Chisora.
Wilder is so overrated it's scary. Who is his best win? Audley? lol
There has been no contract for Fury to fight Chisora, only talks of a possible summer rematch.
Can someone explain to me why is it that Amir Khan is not as deserving as Maidana? Maidana put on a hell of a performance against Broner, no doubt, but its Broner, he's a "moderately good" boxer. If he fought Mayweather it would be the same fight as all of Mayweathers fights when he fights an aggressor with little technical skill, slip jab, slip jab, hook. at least an Amir Khan fight is speed against speed, Khan doesn't have a power punch weapon so he's gonna have to use his mind all night, to me that's a more interesting fight.
A Maidana vs Garcia fight would be an all out war if Danny doesn't lighten-up on his feet a little. Danny's a smart fighter but he tends not to use enough footwork. Angel, you guys need to work on this.
Well said. Perfect example of that was the Zab Judah fight. He moved well with Matthysse in the middle rounds but Angel did yell at him in the beginning to move his feet more so with that said, I think he would be calculated in a war like that as well to start picking up his pace. Unlike Broner, dude got hit so much from not moving you would think he liked to get hit.
Sometime's this site can be a real gossip column. Why are there four different post's about this guy signing to Al Haymon, we get it, he got a new manager, done. Its like the TMZ of boxing.
Its funny to see "boxing fans" talking **** about spadafora. I saw Paul spar back in August a Mexican kid that was on ESPN a lot, his name just escapes me right now but im sure I could look it up if anyone was really that interested cause i got a picture with the kid. But anyways his manager brought him in which did some work with Arturo gatti and they made out this guy to give Paul some problems. Well none the less Paul was a quiet, real sweet hearted guy but when he got in that ring he beat the **** out of that kid. Very nice jab, really knows how to create distance to set things up, needless to say he didn't fight like no old man so i feel this guys got the heart to surprise a lot of people.
IDK if Fury is ready for Roy's supersonic speed and 30 punch combinations.
They should train him in the Himalayas with weights tied to his arms and legs.
This guy.........
**** Freddie roach, hes getting more and more of a bad taste in my mouth since this altercation thing. He blatantly lied instead of just fessing up and saying "it was in the heat of the moment, sorry." He thinks his **** don't stink when in actuality, not taking anything away from him but you took a guy (pacquao) who already had the speed when he came to you and the power, brushed up his defense and all of a sudden your this god like trainer.
I was a boxer 82 fights don't get emotional on me!!! Your boy anculo is a quitter clown!!!!!!!now u go get in the ring clown!!!
How much you guys want to bet this man never fought a day in his life? As everyone as my witness on here, I mean it 100%, you provide me with proof of these 82 bouts ill wire you $20, no lie. Now lets see how much you talk. Angulo quit because there came a decision where he retires because he's lost all sight in his right eye due to "Mexican pride" or he quits while hes ahead to fight another day and continue to provide for his family, like a true fighter.
But not many people are calling Khan out for DECIDING to duck Devon. Now, he's been waiting and he might not even get the fight. I don't blame that on anyone, BUT Khan. Would be hilarious if he doesn't get it.
:lol1:
That's true, it's his fault completely. I even wonder if that's why its a deciding factor for mayweather "Should I fight this guy that sat and waited and had the nerve to solidify himself as the one to fight me before I even made my decision?"
1. You are black.
2. You are the best in your class.
3.You have to watch bums in your class get paid more than you.
4.You have to watch bums in your class get fights that you are supposed to.
5.You have to fight tough fights that you're not garunteed to win before you ever land a big payday..
6. You have to watch people avoid you and call you a "runner" while praising people like Miguel Vasquez (the poster child for runners) for being "technical".
Lara you BEEN living the American Dream:boxing:
Lara's Cuban, he's not black. Also he's a haymon fighter so im sure he gets exactly what he is worth.
I can't believe that people saying Broner won is even an option, if you true to heart think that then you really don't know a ****ing thing about boxing. Broner has never had someone come at him like that, he'll remember that. If he wants to admit it or not that made him think. To save face he really needs to move down to 140 at least. Because what happens when he has someone with the same amount of pressure but smarter? like a Keith Thurman or a Danny Garcia? (Granted his move in weight is still up for grabs.) but what happens when he face's that kind of opposition? same intentions as Maidana but more on point with defensive side? Broner has close to zero defense skill when being rushed, low volume puncher in the heat of the moment, and can't fight on the back foot. All the ingredients for a downfall if he doesn't play his cards right from now on and shut his big mouth. He needs to quit the rapping **** as well.
I like Chavez a lot, his style is reminiscing of LaMotta, obviously the earlier hungry version like his fight's with Andy Lee and Zbik. That's true about him not taking the most important fight of his career seriously, so I hope he really does turn it around but if he shows up to this fight and fails to do so, as a purest fan I'd have to turn my back.
