Junior middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo is going to check Saul "Canelo" Alvarez with hard punches when the first bell rings on March 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Angulo is working on speed and landing power punch combinations on the former WBA/WBC champion. Training under the guidance of coach Virgil Hunter, Angulo has sparred many rounds with the very quick Amir Khan.

"My hands are certainly generating buzz. My sparring partners will surely be able to confirm this. Training camp has been going very well. I have never felt better in the gym. My team is working very hard as we do in every camp. Virgil is very happy, and I'm also happy - because I know that physically I'm exactly where I want to be. I'm going to come in there and fight my fight. I'm going to throw a lot of punches and I'm going to be smart," Angulo said.
