RICKY HATTON has been knocked out by a heart-to-heart with former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
The pair met in Paris this week after Tyson was banned from entering the UK.
Hatton, who has had problems with drink and drugs, admitted it was a therapeutic session for both ex-champions who hit the skids after struggling to cope.

Thanks Ricky for this inspirational message. Sharing your experience with us fight fans about the common struggles we all have regardless of who you are.
Nothing but respect.
Cool article. It has to be so hard to be undefeated, have countless fans behind you, fight for P4P #1 status thinking you can truly do it, and coming up short.

ageed, so much that goes into it, I often explain to people its much more than just 2 people in the ring throwing punches at each other

"I know it may sound strange from someone like me, but I was in awe of him when we met"....Yeah, because the great Ricky Hatton could never be in awe of anyone could he?
hahah...said exactly what I was thinking.
That may not have sounded very humble, but it's understandable. I wouldn't be in awe either, and I haven't known Hatton's measure of fame and adulation.
To be fair ricky was not an ATG lets not get carried away now.
Lineal lightwelter champ, unified champ, two weight champ, consensus 2005 fighter of the year. That's HOF worthy and to me anyone who makes it into the hall is an ATG.
Ricky is a first-ballet hall of famer no question. I hope he can learn something from mike. Wish he never made that dreadful comeback though, it was for all the wrong reasons and it gave a bum like senchenko a win over an ATG.
I personally didn't see it for the wrong reasons. It really felt to me that he was in a good place to train hard and give it all he had to make one last run after the lasting effects of the Manny KO2. It seemed that he wanted to prove to himself that he could do it and if his body didn't hold up, he would know for sure that it was time.
But yes it does suck that some contender got a KO win over him when he had only lost to the two best fighters of his generation.
