Dam and you cant answer a single thing , just a typical nothing from a Pactard because you only have animations cartoons and bananas , your real short on fact so I guess you just happy to run on empty , I like it when dopes like yourself bring my posts to the front and show you cant answer them LOL .
learn to be coherent then ppl can respond to you properly.
this thread is about this fight being fixed.
the onus is on idiots like you to prove this as fact beyond a shadow of doubt.
all i'm doing is easily refuting your claims because you're the one that's running on empty and grasping at straws.
cause Pac is Arum and Oscar's cash-cow, and they want to protect their financial interests.
really?
pac's got 1 or at the most 2 more fights in him, he's implied as much.
he's got enough money and being a congressman is quite a task on it's own.
arum knows this.
now, pac is shaping up to be a 5 or 6-1 favorite in this fight.
so if arum is as conniving and as manipulative as you guys portray him out to be, his smart money would be to bet the bank on margs and let pac lose.
by doing that, he'd be making a ton more money than he would have with pac's remaining fights.
bottom line is, you fix fights to make money and the most money will be made here by pac losing.
so you claim arum is all about the money.
therefore, logic dictates that he's fixing this fight but in the other direction, that's unless your argument is flawed to begin with.
Your calling naive lol , you watched to many old mob movies , you got any idea on how much Bob would have to bet to recoup the loses he will ultimatly suffer from Pac losing and blowing the May fight , lol who is going to take this multi million dollar bet lol or do you figure Bob will employ about a million philos to bet a 100 thous each ,,,, then , even if your entertain your sillyness ,, why would Bob do something neanderthol , and then have everybody looking at him when he can just slide it through and nobody knows anything ,, unless Margo jumped and said I was bribed , not likely eh ,,, and all roads lead to Mayweather and the biggest fight in history , it is you that is naive and thats the truth . .
damn.
are you even capable of typing a coherent sentence much less a paragraph?
i was responding to mayas.
you obviously aren't equipped enough to participate in this discussion so move along now... :twak:
my undercards;
i would fly a prime Pernell to the future and have him clown Floyd
then i would follow it up with Frazier vs Tyson
then the main event would be Chavez vs Pacquiao at 140
damn.
that's a decent card. :lol1:
first fight - pacquiao vs ray robinson 147
2nd fight - Carlos Monzon vs Bernard Hopkins
3rd fight - prime George Foreman vs prime Mike Tyson
Main Event - Muhammad Ali vs Vitali Klitchko
i honestly think this main event will be a boring fight.
just me.
the 3rd fight however, should be smokin!
Pac has a $40 million dollar offer to fight Floyd next summer.
Then theres' a Chavez Jr. fight too.
More money for them to make.
Arum and no other promoter can place HUGE bets on the underdog, because throughout history, thats how the Feds cracked down on Fight Fixes, when and underdog wins, and had big money bet on him.
Its to obvious to do it like that.
man you're so naive.
if arum can get away with fixing fights, he sure can get away with betting on them.
either he's smart enough to pull both off or not.
your argument about this fight being fixed is terribly flawed.
Marvelous aint Segundo Mercado or Robert Allen...i think that matchup would be bad for Hopkins...he's a great MW but i can't see him beating Hagler
but i sure as hell would watch :D
sh1t just thinking about the possible matchups is giving me a boner.
no homo.
btw, i have pac ko 2 chavez.
hatton style. :D
i dunno man....Chavez had like a 5inch thick skull :D
oooOOOooOOOooOOOohh Wilfredo Gomez vs El Terrible at 122
i was just messin with pac.
seriously it's ko 6. :lol1:
how bout salvador sanchez instead of gomez?
you know what fight i would start that card with?
Prime Terry Norris vs Prime Tito at 154
for some reason i want to see prime hagler against prime b-hop.
of course they are good points. its common sense. babe ruth DID NOT PLAY AGAINST black guys, latinos, & asians. He played in the dead ball era. You think babe ruth could make a major league team today with his obese physique?
You think jim thorpe or bart starr could compete in the nfl?
How about bill russell? How do you think bill russell, a 6 foot 8, 240 lb center would do against dwight howard or the laker frontline?
Ive seen footage of henry armstrong, looks like a rich man's version of david/juan diaz.
Its all about preserving history.
that's why sports like golf, swimming and track and field have the upper hand compared to sports you've mentioned in terms of historical comparison since results could be directly matched up against each other.
most golf courses stayed the same, olympic sized sized pools are still that and as far as i know, 10 sec from 50 yrs ago is still 10 sec today.
because the people making the list are all from the old guard hence they want to preserve their history.
They dont want anybody forgetting about their sporting heroes. Just the other day, i had a argument with dave rado about jesse owens vs usain bolt, i said take prime bold & take prime jesse owens, put them in a track, & who wins?
rado tries to say well if jesse had usain's training & modern method he would win, well he doesnt. that's what we are arguing here. You cant have it both ways. that's why the people arguing for modern athletes, they have the knowledge & resources that the old timers did.
old guard wants to have it both ways.
Athletic Evolution.
70s & up athletes are superior to athletes before them.
how could one argue jesse over usain?
it's simple.
just compare times and you got your answer.
whether 1 guy had better training and nutrition or not shouldn't be debated.
everytime I see Pac just run through a bigger man...sure it was no defense, slow as hell Margarito but everytime I see Pac absolutely pummel an opponent, a potential fight between him and Floyd gets more and more competitive in my mind...
Pac's punch arsenal from a lefty stance, his conditioning, footspeed, and warrior mindset would give Floyd the toughest fight of his career...
Pac isn't a thinking fighter like a lotta guys IMO, its instinct, if Floyd clocks him, Pac will throw whatever he's got at him to answer it back, and Floyd won't simply be able to get outta the way all the time...and he isn't gonna stop or get tired...Floyd would have to find a way to stop the madman cuz he isn't gonna outwork him...
Would be a hell of a fight...
I still think Floyd pulls it out but in the back of my mind, I know Pac has the ability and skills to do it...
Thoughts?
i usually think you're full of sh1t but i agree with you on this 100%.
green k! :fing02:
no,
that means prime roger federer, prime sampras, prime agassi would fukking murk rod laver & his short short wearing greats of his days.
Every sport evolves. All the great players from every sport across the board, have come from recent times.
Yet, boxing always seems unaffected by this.
Usain Bolt would run laps around jesse owens. shaq & hakeem would destroy wilt & russell, payton manning & tom brady are much greater & much more advanced quarterbacks than say johnny unitas & bart starr.
Its called athletic evolution. Every sport has evolved, including boxing.
Rank accordingly.
you make great points but ppl will still debate you on merits regardless of how obvious your case is.
only the bold part won't be disputed since by comparing times, you know for a fact that usain murks jesse.
Exactly. People act like Pacquaio was the star of that fight.
GTFOH.
Pac was already the biggest star at that time and Oscar was like a dog fetching freesbies for his master.
It had to be, otherwise we might be forced to give Pac at least some credit for what he did then.
I'm not sure why people always say De La Hoya was forced by Pacquiao with the weight. DE LA HOYA CALLED THE SHOTS in those negotiations. Pacquiao had no pull. De La Hoya was the one who called for the weight limit of 147 and everyone thought it was a joke because Pacquiao was coming up from having a single fight 135 and was so much smaller.
roger's the truth and everything that comes out of his mouth is gospel to a lot of ppl on here.
bpp's just a biased pactard that's why he's saying this.
he was in great shape and was on weight Thur morning so the rest of the time up to weigh in he ate really good.
a lot of what was speculated was stuff the team tried to get out to the media so it would trickle over to Manny's team. I literally had Ariza sitting there telling me Tony was a ghost.
pls don't insert facts in an otherwise moronic thread.
I always said Pacquiao would beat Floyd (Going by what I've seen) but now, I really think Mayweather would stop him. I think Mayweather will apply too much pressure and break Pacquiao down to the body.
if this fight ever happens, i'd challenge you to a sig bet that floyd doesn't stop pac.
probably beat him but not by ko.
sometimes boxing atg comparisons resemble politics.
ask a hundred democrats who's the better president bush or clinton.
then ask the same number of republicans the same question.
compare answers then proceed to scratch your head.
You think Sugar Ray Robinson of 50 years ago stands a chance against modern WW champions and MW champions recently? Do you think former WBA HW champion Bruce Seldon or even the Klitschkos beat a Foreman of 1970 or even the Ali who danced circles around Cleveland Williams?
Does impact and influence have importance in determining greatness? Do you go by resume or techinical skill? Many people have said the Beatles suck because they only played often only 3 chords, does that mean that Rush is better than the Beatles since their technically leaps and bounds superior to them. Or are the Beatles rated high due to their influence and song writing oppose to their skill?
Greatness is subjective. Ranking fighters from different eras needs a complete analysis, not just simply the monolothic approach he would beat him so that means he is greater.
Using your theory Sandy Saddler is superior to Willie Pep, he beat him three out of 4 times, yet WTF ranks Saddler higher than Pep?
there's really no way to resolve boxing atg comparisons.
there just isn't.
knowing full well that some idiots have been on the roid campaign trail against him, the smartest thing for pac to do is blatantly expose his ped needle marks during media day.
