i agree....big step up and i think its a mistake leaving the Enzo Calzaghe camp especially before what is a big fight for him again boxing politics get involved it cant be good for any fighter to change trainer this close to a big fight even if his new trainer is his dad..
Joe wins hands down! he will be too quick even for the mighty RJJ! I would have liked to have seen this fight 5 years ago! but i think now Joe wins...i dont think by stoppage as his hands are prone to problems but i think he will be too busy for RJJ...
Joe wins! granted pavlik hits hard but joe would be too fast, too big and too strong for him even at 36!! I like Pavlik but i think Calzaghe wins on points!
He's 26 and already has twice the resume of Zag, who ducked everyone until late in his career because of his "cherished" undefeated record. I have way more respect for a fighter that goes out and fights the best and ducks noone, unlike the British phagboy. So Kelly don't hang your head, you're twice the man of that arrogant, overrate, piece of shit welsch turdburgler who will never have respect outside of his island.
Is this a joke??? as i have said in a previous post who has Joe ducked??? it amazing that when a Brit fighter does well and is unbeaten he is getting drilled left right and centre!! everyone said oh Lacy will smash Joe....lacy is this lacy is that Joe doesnt stand a chance!! so much so did Gary Shaw bet his house on Lacy winning!!!! HA HA HA!! what happened there??? oh yeah he got taught a lesson for 12 rounds!! then people are trying to tell me Lacy is no good and never was any good...thats b***ocks!!!!! Again with Kessler! everyone saying Joe will lose badly kessler is this kessler is that etc BORING! joe destroyed him as well!!! again with B-Hop he will nullify Joe he will expose joe for the slapper he is!!! apart from the flash knockdown Joe would have won the fight by a clearer margin!!!! Then Joe needs to fight Pavlik! well Pavlik got exposed by to quote several people after the Calzaghe victory! an "over the hill B-Hop!!!!" face facts and give Joe Calzaghe the credit he deserves for being a champion for 10 years and undefeated!!!!!
yea im not talking about polls on boxing sites im talking about betting odds. since i actually bet on the fight i think i would know that lacy was the favorite. if "everyone" thought lacy was gonna win how come he wasn't even the favorite?
at the end of the day Joe has never been given the credit for anything that he has done....he beats Lacy and all of sudden Lacy is shot....I actually personally agree and i dont rate lacy however it will be very interesting to see the outcome of Lacy vs Taylor......also how well Kessler does in his career will also determine how Calzaghe is percieved having beat an undefeated fighter in Kessler...seen as though daggum is so anti-Je my question wasnt answered who has Joe Calzaghe ducked in his career??? Again answers on a postcard!....i would even be inclined to agree that Pavlik has a better resume at 26 then Calzaghe did but calzaghe did beat Eubank an old slightly lost his edge Eubank none the less but then when Pavlik fought an "old slightly lost his edge fighter in B-Hop...what happened then???!!! well that was clear to see!...........also i think it has been established that Lacy was the favourite going into that fight a slight favourite but a favourite none the less!!!!
I think this is great piece of matchmaking by warren, i think Khan will beat barrera, he is a legend and WAS a fantastic fighter and def a HOF but he is not the fighter he was, Khan will be too strong, too young and quick for him but in terms of marketing etc Joe Public will see Barerra vs Khan and when Khan beats him everyone will be clambering to get a piece of Khan again as they were pre bredis prescott! they wont know that barrera is no where near the fighter he was but its a great name for Khan to have on his record!...Khan to stop him inside 9
Haye beats Toney all day long he is too young, too fresh, too fast, hits too hard......granted it looks like haye will be a banger he will KO or be KO'd but he Toney is well over the hill! the Thompson fight was Hayes learning curve...i was there when he destroyed Enzo at the O2 Arena he looked good! also look at some of the shots he took against Mormeck and he got up and stopped him! glass chin???????
Having watched the Froch vs Direll fight i felt sorry for Froch as Direll seemed very negative throughout and i think Froch at least wanted to fight, also i have gained a lot of respect for Froch in the run up to the fight so im disapointed to hear him talk about Calzaghe AGAIN! he has all the tools to win this tournament (although i dont think he will) he needs to forget about calzaghe and move on and focus on Kessler which no doubt will be a very tough fight!
I actually agree with certain aspects of this...it worried me when i heard that Hatton wasnt heading out to train with Floyd SNR earlier favouring to stay behind with Lee Beard but the fact of the matter is that Hatton steamed forward believing he could take Pacquiaos punches and he had his gloves down and didnt move his head....the compubox stats said Pac man landed 78% of punches thrown!!! that tells its own tale!!! i for one will happily admit that i thought Hatton would win with a late stoppage but he fought completly the wrong fight he didnt jab he didnt move his head and he came forward in stright lines and pac man caught him with everything!!! nothing to do with Floyd unless Floyd told him to fight like that which i very much doubt!...gutted for Hatton he has fought at elite level twice and come up short i respect him and no one can ever say he ducked anyone i just hope he calls it a day with all his faculties in tact.
What makes me laugh is the fact that Joe beat B-Hop and barr the flash knockdown in the first round the margin of victory would have been higher....i was repeatedly being told by people that Joe had to fight Pavlik and it would be proved when he finally sent B-Hop into retirement well im glad Joe has unleashed some harsh words on people because all of a sudden no -one is saying Joe needs to fight pavlik cos the old man schooled pavlik!...i actually think that pavlik will come out of this a better fighter and lets be fair he stepped up in weight to fight B-Hop but Joe would have stopped pavlik and now Joe can smash RJJ and retire with his conscience in tact and his record clean.......has Joe ducked anyone??? answers on a postcard!
