Cotto couldn't handle the volume of punches from Antonio Margarito. Williams throws much more punches than Antonio and lately he has been sitting down more on his punches. I can't understand how people think Cotto will be able to handle and 6'2 punching machine when he couldn't handle Margarito, who already got beaten by Williams.
No, if you move to Canada when you are 7, live there for most of your life, move to Britain for a few years, get famous and move to America...then you are a Canadian.
The fact is he English. He was born in England, therefore he is English. End of story.
I agree, although Hatton's trainer sounded a little like a badass..
How can you talk when you have the biggest pussc alive in your picture. He sounds like Micky Mouse on helium.
I also don't understand the comment from the person who made this stupid thread about Lennox sounding like a butler, he aint posh.
Too many Americans are ignorant to the rest of the world and think they are the smartest, strongest people of all but their leader is a racist crack head just like a lot of their population.
Amir Khan, really what has this guy done since the Limond fight (where he was allowed 13 seconds to get up)?
Scott Lawton: This guy is poor! Even before the fight he was saying he has little chance of beating Khan.
Graham Earl: This guys punch resistance had completly gone. He was shot the second he came out of the ring with Katsidis.
St Claire: Super-Featherweight with no power and stands at 5 foot 4. Need I say any more?
He has done very little to convince me he is anything special. He is nowhere near world class!
^Obviously a hater^
Now if you look on the WBC WORLD RANKINGS you will see that Amir Khan is ranked 4th the question is how?? You will not see any of his contenders on the top 40, including his last fight against Kristjansen!!
You will also see on the rankings Jon Thaxton the true geezer www.geezerspalace.co.uk appears 40th, so would you say Amir Khan is ten times better..? I DONT THINK SO!!!
You also have Yuri Romanov ranked 8th and I think you can tell that Amir Khan would not do to well against the ghost of a figure who would haunt you all night, wait for you to make mistake's then take your bleedin head off!!!
Now there is protecting your fighter but with Amir Khan I think everyone is getting bored of all the hype and none of the action also, his fighters cant even bang..
Its going to be very interesting to see if there is anymore feather fisted fighters out there for Amir Khan we must be running out by now, as he has had most of them.. It will be interesting to see him when he steps up to the top level where they all punch hard, I think he's in big trouble!!!
Shut up crying. You are just hating on Amir Khan.
....IMO he isn't looking to fight contenders. He thinks he's gong to get an immediate shot at someones title and cash in quickly. I bet he fights pure bums for 3-4 fights and then someone will give him a shot. He is exciting but can he take that to the heavies. If you throw caution to the wind, have a shaky defense, and a shaky chin, it's just a matter of time before you get the Jeremy Williams treatment.
So what's the real reason why you don't like him?
going to fuck over??
whens the last time his fighter beat a quality opponent?
Cintron lasted longer with Steward in the Antonio Margarito fight than he did with his old trainer.
I agree that a lot of the shots were blocked, but at times he was landing some beautiful, fast, straight combinations to St Clair's head and some nice body shots. St Clair was landing pretty much nothing, so did you expect hime to win?
I scored the fight the same as the judges but I gave St Clair round 6.
According to some of the Mayweather family members, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is already planning to return to the ring to challenge Manny Pacquiao. Family members told Mayweather's hometown paper, the Grand Rapids Press, that Floyd Jr. advised some of them of his comeback plan moments after Pacquiao stopped Oscar De La Hoya in eight rounds in Las Vegas last Saturday night. details]
Why are you repeating the same thing that someone else already posted?
This would be a good fight for the viewers, but not a good fight for Cotto. Williams is too tall, has too much arm reach and he will outwork Cotto all night.
"When you mention Oscar De La Hoya you mention an ordinary fighter. When you mention Floyd Mayweather you mention an entertainer who isn't afraid to go out there to take a chance, take a risk, to go out the box," Mayweather said. "I want to push myself to the limit."
What a complete tool he is.
Until you can fight like he can and you earn as much money as he has, you can't say anything.
Calzaghe is overated. Who's his most credible opponent? A 43 year old B Hop who knocked him down in the first round. If this fight happens then it's a KO win for Pavlik.
