Believe whatever you wish to, but the sad fact this that Manny gets his phenomenal stamina from a work ethic few can equal and instead of being praised for his hard work and dedication, people simply become suspicious.
If all the ATGs were fighting now, i have no doubt in my mind that most if not all of them would be accused of roiding since they themselves were incredible fighters.
ESPECIALLY Armstrong.
I've been trying to make the same point for ages -- the 14 day window is pointless.
I agree totally. Unfortunately, for Floyd jr. fanatics, their winds of hatred blew out long ago their flames of intelligence.
Did Manny give a blood sample for his fight with Clottey?
Someone said on here that they had no test for his fight with Clottey.
Would it matter? If indeed blood can be saved for YEARS to be tested later in the future, EVEN ONE SAMPLE SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT, and Manny has been tested and gave blood samples for YEARS.
This is basically what most people are saying...I don't know who is doping, but if the roles were reversed, and Freddie Roach thought mayweather was, and demanded a drug test that both fighters would have to take before the fight, then Mayweather would look suspicious as hell if he were to be coming up with all types of reasons why he can't take the tests.
1) i'd say a lot of people are thinking/saying but not MOST.
2) Manny already agreed to take the tests up to 24 days before the fight. Do you honestly think roiding up 24 days before the fight would help him with a fight of this magnitude and the skill level of floyd jr?
3) Also note that Manny agreed to be tested RIGHT AFTER THE FIGHT.
4) so many people forget that Manny AGREED TO TAKE THE RANDOM BLOOD TESTS.
The only way for this fight to happen is for both camps to eliminate and totally drop the roadblocks that derail the negotiation.
Drop the 10 million per pound over the weight stipulation from Manny's camp and fuck the random blood tests from Mayweather's camp.
I know Manny will agree with this arrangement but I'm not sure about Mayweather tho'.
I agree with you totally that there is little if no chance at all that Floyd jr. will drop the stupid blood tests. But in my opinion, it would not be necessary at all to drop the 10 million per pound since floyd jr. had absolutely no problem with it at all. Why take it out if it wasn't an issue?
the thing is that ... this is the clause that is a deal killer for both parties...
they need to work it out... and come to terms on this one.... both camps needs to man up and give up a lil bit.. in order to make this fight happen...
besides that ..I agree with the rest of your statement! :boxing:
Actually, Floyd jr. needs to come to terms with the fact that his blood test clause is useless as i pointed out. Seriously. What can 24 days of roiding do to help Manny in a fight of this magnitude and against Floyd jr?
Floyd jr's refusal of the 24 day cut off is UNREASONABLE. And remember that he's the challenger! Its the Champion who can dictate the terms.
well.. then.... U just dont know the meaning of the word NEGOTIATE.
we got a DEAL BREAKER CLAUSE HERE... FOR BOTH PARTIES.. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHH PARTIES...
if any of the TEAM involved in this negotiation have your attituted... theres no logig in even discusting this "possible mega fight"
:boxing:
Too bad that Floyd jr. has that same attitude you are talking about. They did negotiate, but Floyd refused to allow the 24 day cut off. It would have not taken anything from him in any way whatsoever.
But forcing manny to take it 14 days before the fight would have given floyd jr. the psychological edge, which Roach and Manny obviously wouldn't permit.
C'mon. What's the diff of 10 days? 24 days would give manny a comfortable margin to recover from a blood test. and 24 days would just be too short a time to take roids which would make a difference in the fight.
One problem with your post... they can keep his blood sample and test his blood years later when they develop new tests. Someone who is using PEDs is not going to give a sample because we have new technology and test every year.
Well that's solved by the fact that Manny has been submitting himself to all the Nevada Commission's tests for more than a decade, and that's including giving blood samples for tests.
He never refused any of those, even when asked to give blood samples. The last one closest to a fight, being TWO DAYS BEFORE HIS FIGHT WITH MORALES.
If he really was roiding, he would have flat out refused, but he didn't. And that was a sudden request mind you. They didn't know blood would be taken from him at that day and time. The excuse for taking his blood sample at that time was because they lost the one he provided previously.
People often forget these simple facts.
random blood testin dick.manny won't know when the test is comin
Oh he would know it won't be coming 14 days before the fight. That's the point. He could start roiding up to that point.
plus he was willing to give blood right after the fight, even though like you said it would be out of his system, but what would 3 weeks of steroids and then stop taking them before the fight really do? i would assume, if you stopped then you could be weak for fight night. i understand it would help with your training, but training on roids and then fighting off of them is kind of stupid, i dont know exactly how they work, i would just think that stopping before the fight could possibly cause a crash effect on the boxer because his body would be used to the steroids, if you are more educated on the subject i would be interested in what you think.
You don't need to be very educated on the subject to discuss it. you only need common sense.
As you said. three weeks or 24 days is just not enough time to take roids effectively enough for it to make a difference in a fight of that magnitude.
In other words, Manny's 24 days before the fight was a very, VERY reasonable request, which is why Floyd's 14 day offer was questionable.
My opinion of his skills would depend on HOW he would lose. (that's a big IF he would lose). I hate the man's guts, but i consider him one of the best fighters in the planet.
to be honest.. I dont think floyd will accept that....
I do beleive that they can come to terms to a period time shorter than 20 but later than 14 days... lets say 17 which is the middle... and manny asking for 8 millions .... thats just an example......
I dont know what team mayweather have in mind.. but I do beleive that they want the gap between test to be closer to the 14 days.....
by no means.. Im saying that floyd is right by demanding this.... and I would not blame pac if he doesnt want to fight on floyds terms..
all Im saying is that if BOTH parties .. want the fight.. BOTH parties are going to bend some over... thanks for the real talk!! :boxing:
1) you are assuming BOTH parties want the fight.
2) you are also assuming BOTH parties are in equal standing.
My stand is LOGICALLY, yes, BOTH need to compromise to make the fight happen. It just common sense for two people to compromise to reach a mutual agreement.
In PRINCIPLE, Manny should NOT bow to the demands of Floyd jr. since he's the P4P #1 and the Champion thus should be the one to dictate the terms. Thus, no matter how much you want something, a line must be drawn and there is a limit to how much a person should compromise to get something.
REALISTICALLY, Floyd jr. proved by his actions even before this blood issue that he's been avoiding Manny and won't fight him for any amount whatsoever. The fact that he didn't wait ONE SINGLE DAY to challenge manny to fight him after beating Hatton and challenged Marquez instead is just one of many signs of his reluctance to face him.
Another proof is his illogical stance of demanding a random blood test up to 14 days before the fight when this stipulation just makes the test useless.
Im not saying that Pac is cheating, the thought never even entered my mind until Floyd Sr. started talking about it. I never supported the drug test demand.
HOWEVER...
Pac's refusal does seem a little suspicious. No explanation is written in stone, nobody knows the truth besides Pac and his camp. I just hope the fight between him and Floyd happens.
Sigh.
Manny already repeated his reason again and again. He simply does not want blood taken from him so close to a fight.
If you find his refusal suspicious, then take the time to find out why instead of expecting to be spoonfed. Check out Floyd jr.'s history, then Manny's history and their backgrounds and the details behind blood testing and make up your mind.
In other words, Floyd jr. is afraid to fight a one dimensional fighter, and Floyd Sr., doesn't want his son to face a one dimensional fighter.
So what does that make Floyd jr? a ZERO dimensional fighter?
