What would your opinion of Mayweather be if he lost to Mosley ? it would say to me that he was vastly overrated considering how he never fought an elite fighter in their prime but could only beat DLH by a SD, lost to an old Shane Mosley, arguably lost to Castillo, got outboxed by Judah for 4/5 rounds.
What would you think?
yea i agree..his whole career has been based on being undefeated. without that their wouldnt be anything that speacial. just another ordinary fighter
Forget about floyds record for now, to say floyd is just another ordinary fighter is ridiculous, if you truely believe that your not a boxing fan!
Lets not forget that less than a year ago Roach didn't want Pacquiao to fight Mosley unless he weighed 142-43 max.
Actually, just 142. He wouldn't bite at 143.
So what Lol, its not a very impressive win when your dragging small guys upto your weight so you have all the advantages not only stylistically but also physically.
DLH was old though, he could not pull the trigger, Floyd would never of fought DLH at 154 if he had his reflexes about him.
Floyd only fights fights where by he has an angle in the fight, either weight, past prime fighters, just not elite, just lost, its always the same with him.
You are clueless, go check out the offical weigh in's for every mayweather fight, you willl then find out that in 90% of bouts, he was the smaller guy.
So you ae saying de la hoya was past it at 154? Wise up
Floyd fought the best in his era, simple as that. Also to say castillo was a b class fighter is a joke.
If mayweather for in the ring and fought 2 opponents at once, you would still find something to say bad about him.
Mayweather= the greatest fighter since sugar ray leonard.
i garuntee that floyds PPV buys would go down drastically if he lost to mosley, due to alot of his PPV buys are people tuning in to see him get beat. so once he losses those people will be satisfied and will no longer need to watch his fights.
yea i agree..his whole career has been based on being undefeated. without that their wouldnt be anything that speacial. just another ordinary fighter
I think that mayweather will beat mosley on May 1st, Id be very suprised if mosley beat floyd, floyds defense is too great.Mosley will beat Floyd. He is a fast fighter and knows how to fight one. Floyd maybe faster but he doesn't have enough pop in his punches to stop Sugar Shane from going after him. Sugar Shane's over hand right will break Floyd's defense just like Sugar Ray crushed Floyd Sr.'s when the two have met. Floyd will get knocked out.
Before-Mayweather would never fight Mosley. He's a coward and a fraud.
Now- If Mayweather loses once, his entire career is proved to be a fraud.
Post Fight-Mosley was old and shot. Mayweather's still ducking (insert name)
Guess it's ok to be stupid and irrational, cause Mayweather's involved.
Dude, come on now. I stopped reading at your first couple of sentences. When they were both AT THE SAME WEIGHT CLASS HATTON WAS "NOT READY". Then Floyd moved up to 147 and won the lineal title then went to his highest class at 54 and fought Oscar and you expect him to go all the way back down to 140 to fight a guy who was not ready for him a couple years earlier? :thumbsdow
I like you as a poster, lets just call it quits fam.
AND PLEASE DON'T BRING UP JMM, YOU MADE A THREAD GIVING HIM CREDIT FOR THAT FIGHT! DON'T KNOCK HIM FOR THAT NOW!
No i did not expect him to cherry pick a 140 pounder at all, particularly not when he was allegedly supposed to be campaigning at 147, Cotto just beat the shit outta Judah and to my mind it was the logical choose, as he was the real viable option at 147 at the time, a guy on the rise at 147 who just walked through Judah who was favoured to beat him by many.
I did but i made that assuming Mayweather would not pull what he did against JMM with the weight, i also did not anticipate that JMM would look so poor at the weight, thats not me hating, you know yourself JMM looked extremely slow at that weight and just did not look good at all at the weight (blown up), that said its its a decent warm up but i changed my perception after when people tried to suggest the weight was not a key factor and started making comparisons with Pac's fight with him Lol.

I have no problem with Floyd vs Marquez i like the fight
Yea, I expected this from you.
Yes i expected this from you as you have already said it once haven't you?
Floyd fought Hatton because he was small, he fought DLH cause he was old, he is fighting Mosley now because he is old, he fought Judah after he lost, he fought Baldy because!!!!!!! well because he was ****ing useless basically, he fought JMM and made sure he had a weight advantage.
I cant remember if i said he would fight Shane or not, but what i do know is that ive always maintained it would be a pointless fight because Shane it too old, no excuses here son.
Its quite pathetic when Mayweather fans try to make light of so called contradictions when Mayweather and his actions are a walking talking contraction, yet you guys still clutch at straw trying to draw comparisons that get blown to bits majority of the time.

When you get finished, Clottey came off an L and Manny fought him. Same thing you want to bash Mayweather over. It doesn't surprise me.
Then you knock Shane for being old, but many of you all said that he would NEVER fight Shane. Built in excuses are something else, but you will knock him if he lost to Shane.

Clottey come of a dubious decision in a lot of peoples eyes and was a lot bigger than Pac, lets see Mayweather fight Pavlik at 154, he has better skill than Kelly, no? he would never take that fight, thats the difference, Pac will fight someone like Clottey whom is bigger, albeit with tailor made style because he wants to prove himself, Mayweather will find every angle he can and avoid any kinda contact with a bigger man who is any where near his prime, if they are big enough Mosley/ DLH they must be old.

Losing to SSM would indicate that Floyd may be past it. But be real, he's 90% likely to win a lopsided UD. Defence is too strong, speed is too great. SMM doesnt have trhe flexibility in his skills to adjust quickly to in-fight situation.
I guess this applies to Manny as well, I mean he just fought Clottey who just came off a lost.
Floyd fought Judah who just came off a lost....you care to name the other fighters that Mayweather fought coming off a lost?

my opinion of Floyd wouldn't change.....he'll still be the most skilled fighter I've EVER seen perform in my life time along with Roy......I rate Mosley high unlike many of you so I wouldn't be suprised a bit......its a 50/50 fight but I got my dude Shane and I'm confident in that choice.......some of you dudes are really counting Shane out I see!! :ugh:
Dude, ricky hatton was smaller than floyd? So ****ing what? Marquez is smaller too, so what? They were still rated at #2 p4p at the time.
Floyd was far smaller than de la hoya, but do you turn around and try to put oscar down for that?
Sad isn't the word!
Every boxer put in the ring with him simply could not beat him. Manny pacquiao on the other hand was ko'ed by a road sweeper, beat by morales and imo beat by marquez twice.

My opinion of his skills would depend on HOW he would lose. (that's a big IF he would lose). I hate the man's guts, but i consider him one of the best fighters in the planet.
