I was glad Cotto stayed classy afterwards. And I thought he could have fought smarter cause he was effective, but the better man won.

if cotto gets a trainer who knows what he's doing, then cotto...otherwise, marquez wins simply because good fighters with good trainers beat good boxers with terrible trainers...
Pacquiao took the jab away from him really, after the first round he started picking them off for the most part and neutralized it.

Cotto always throws his jab well early then dispenses with it. He gets caught up in trying to slug it out. Dumb move and it cost him big.

I did hear them telling him about the jab at one point still early in the fight.
They were so shocked that Cotto could get and was getting hurt by Pacquiao's shots that they had no response. That is amateur level.
cotto's corner said "the jab is working" after the first round...other than that, they didnt say one thing other than simple words of encouragement...i know they never mentioned the jab again after the second round...
i just feel bad for cotto, in a way...i know, he hired the douchebag trainer, but he still deserved better...

my point is, if im cotto's trainer, i tell my fighter, "if you dont want to get you ass kicked, you throw the jab, ok?" or "if youre not going to use your jab, im calling this fight."

Trainers can only do so much. This is a 1v1 sport. Sure, it's good to have someone in the corner to give you tips when your down, but at the same time, Cotto should of execpted this. And like I said before, a lot of people said this fight was Power vs Speed, but I truly believe, Manny has just as much power as Cotto, maybe even more.

Even tho Cotto was getting beat, I was surprised how accurate Cotto's jabs/potshots was. Nobody has done that to Pac even Marquez.

this fight could have easily been cottos...although im a pac fan and i think he's clearly the better fighter, cotto's corner -- not to mention his own lack of ring smarts -- got him hammered in this fight...
