Have u seen anyone else. I live in Cardiff too, do you know if there are any free events involved, I dont have £250 to spare.
Are they all just walking aroudn the city centre and stuff?
Hi there, saw Iran Barkley, James "Bonecrusher" Smith and Earnie Shavers as well as Shannon Briggs. Have not seen Roberto Duran. Not sure of any free events, they are here for this Howard Winstone Film premiere so an evening evet type thing at the CIA.
But they are all walking around Queen Street and around the city centre, just pot luck whether your lucky enough to see anyone but they are all here in Cardiff. Amazing eh!
lol, yeah pretty amazing. Cardiff is the new hollywood, yesterday we had Robert De Niro and Jason Statham, now weve got legendary boxers. I think ill go for a walk through town right now to see if I can spot anyone, doubt it though, looks like it might rain again.
Nah it wont rain! Bit cloudy but will be dry. I know missed that film being made yesterday with Jase and Al. I only work around the corner from it too!
Have a walk around the castle, Queen St area of the centre, never know who you might see. I'm going out soon too, so will look myself! Might bump into Roberto Duran outside Greggs! Never thought Id say that!
Mate, I walked around town didnt see anyone so decided to hang around outside the CIA. Got a hug from a drunk John Mugabi! and plenty of other autographs as some guy outside gave me a free ticket to the GB vs the World boxing tournament.
Btw, I met a guy called andrew there, it wasnt you was it?
Zab Judah, Shannon Briggs, Junior Witter, John H stracey, John Mugabi (he hugged me), Iran Barkley, Vitali Klitschko, Bonecrusher smith, Juan Laporte - at the WBC night of champions in Cardiff - a stranger gave me a free ticket to the GB vs the World amateur boxing event, which I was hanging around outside of hoping to meet a few boxers.
Got their autographs and a bit of small talk about upcoming fights, etc.
Enzo Maccarinelli and Roy Jones jr - at the promotion thing in Cardiff for the Jones v Calzaghe fight.
People always go on about athleticism and natural talent when talking about Roy, acting like he just woke up one day and could do all the things he did, the man had great skills to go with his great attributes.
Part of it was natural and he did have great reflexes, but what about all the training his father put him through as a kid, making him spar with one hand tied behind his back and swinging pieces of wood at him and stuff.
Great card, as long as all of the fights make it to the card, september is still a while away. I think it should be in Cardiff though, with Cleverly and Macarinelli on the card, Cleverly should be building up his welsh fanbase before a possible title shot.
Mosley schooled Collazo for 12 rounds, knocked him down, and the fight ended up being one of Shane's best performances.
didnt collazo hurt his hand or something though and yeah if he had destroyed marquez, people would give him a much better chance to win against Mayweather.
Lol, there is no way Pacquiao won the fight. He got absolutely dominated and was afraid to let his hands go because of those counter punches and JMM always taking the half step back.
I watched with 4 other guys, who all gave it to JMM by 4 rounds, and only one of them was a JMM fan who said JMM would win by SD before the fight.
Roach told him he was behind on the cards, Pacquiao was crying/praying in the corner and his wife looked totally shocked and confused when Pac was announced as the winner.
This was the definition of styles make fights. Pacquiao has torn through top guys like Hatton and Cotto and JMM was getting knocked down by Katsidis and hurt by Juan Diaz but he worked his magic in this fight.
Unless it was all a conspiracy by Bob Arum to set up a 4th fight that will "break PPV records"
It all depends on how Margaritos chin will hold up now after it was cracked by mosley. It was a big factor in the cotto fight, allowing him to keep coming forwards with the pressure and to break cotto down mentally as well as physically.
