To casual fans, is Gervonta Davis The Face of Boxing? also to any hardcore fans here...is Davis on your p4p list?
Not the face of boxing. Casual fans are who watch the odd boxing fight that is quite big. This was big but there were still a lot of people i knew who are not regular watchers who didn't even know about last nights fight but they know of people like canelp and fury and aj
Definitely not.
If I was a reporter and a boxer told me that they were the "face" of boxing, the first thing I would ask is "can you please define what that means? ".
The same goes for this forum.
What is the face of boxing?
IMO nobody is the face of boxing.
If anybody was it would probably be Jake Paul.
No... Tank is one of a handful of talented fighters in a division with a lot of fluff. He beat Garcia at a catchweight, and I do not think he beat Pitbull Cruz. Assuming Tank grows a bit and fights up I do not think he will be able to do what he has done at 135. The median talent in the welterweights and up is insane compared to lightweight and below, right now.
If Tank can stay at 135 then maybe he can prove himself against the others left: Loma, Haney and he owes Pitbull a rematch. Pitbull shut him down by applying constant pressure IMO.
boxing is a brutal sport, one day u are part of a generational fight & in the running for the face of boxing, the next, u are the ASS of boxing
when the dust settles he will settle to somewhere in the middle (he hopes)

He's neither of those things
beating a guy who was mostly a hypejob like Garcia doesn't get you in the P4P list
and the face of boxing is still a certain red headed mexican, and the entire boxing world is waiting for his return
