Canelo would be foolish to rematch Bivol

Unbelievable how delusional everyone is. Trying to do damage control for all their years of **** talking about how Canelo has this killer resume, is fearless, isnt ducking anyone. Canelo got WORKED. That fight was not close at all. Look at his face. Look at the punch stats. Look at the rouds. Bivol was touching his face up, Canelo was looking at his corner completely clueless. Awful stamina. After round 6 he knew he was done. You have to be a complete crakchead to think this was a close fight. THIS is why he kept ducking Andrade and the Charlos at 154. THIS is why he went up to 168 to avoid Andrade and Charlo. Anyone with respectable defense will expose this guy. You damn fool. Canelo dog walks all three of those doughnuts. Those guys wouldn't stand a chance in hell against Bivol at light heavy. They wouldn't DARE go up against Bivol to his weight with no rehydration limit. Show some damn respect for a guy who gave up all advantages against an elite fighter.

He still has very winnable fights out there for himself. Golovkin, Andrade, Charlo, Benavidez. Bivol could even stop him in a rematch. Smart thing to do is to chalk it up to going to high up in weight. i think that's what the team is gonna do... canelo saying he wants to rematch right away is just to save face.. after the dust settles down and they have time to re-think this through, they will probably go a different route or if the rematch happens, they'll probably enforced some rules this time like CW, etc.

Canelo should forget Bivol ever existed and go PBC route fighting Charlo, Spence, Benavidez. i am not even sure he beats Benavidez. He shouldn`t leave out the chance to knock out Spence, casuals will love it.

It would be smart not to fight Bivol again. Fights like that take years off a career. Go back to 168 and fight guys closer to your own size. Canelo looked flabby for this fight. I think he’ll rematch him though. If he does there are some things he could do to do better. Box a little more, and don’t head hunt early. Concentrate only on the body for the first few rounds with an upper cut thrown in on the inside occasionally. Those looping hooks were getting caught by Bivol with his gloves all night. Canelo spent too much energy early by throwing as hard as he could with all of his punches. You could see him tire.

Bivol could beat him again but no one's stopping anyone. Try learning a thing or two about boxing. bivol can stop him next time and he didn’t move out of first gear and each time bivol unloaded on him on the ropes you could see canelos face change......If bivol stents it up he can stop him for sure

Bivol outlanded Canelo in all 12 rounds if you include jabs. The fact that Bivol won a 115-113 UD, means it was actually wider than that and wasn't actually even close, especially since the cash cow mayweather won a SD in a fight which was just as wide. If Canelo has to do only a little better to get a gift decision, then he shouldn't take the rematch and ruin his reputation and leave it at "Canelo dared to be great but Bivol is too big too strong" he already has way too many gift decisions. Canelo fans don’t count jabs. It’s why they say he dominated GGG. Jabs don’t count to them.

Boxing is not just about winning all the time, it is about the ups, it is about the downs, it is a Rollar-coaster ride. Have you guys ever seen the movies series Rocky Balboa? Alvarez was beaten, big deal. You win some, you lose some. I honestly think there is a growing culture with boxing fans, where people genuinely think fighters think like them. These guys are not you, they yearn for challenges, they are the ultimately competitors. Canelo Alvarez is going to want to rematch Bivol. If he wins the rematch, great. If he loses, so what. That is boxing. If he takes the rematch and wins his greatness gets elevated even further.

All depends on Canelo's goals I guess. Does this loss make him rethink his goal of moving up in weight? Someone else pointed out that there are still winnable fights out there (true!) but the question will be does Canelo value more W's and dollars or is he more concerned with legacy building? I think he's pretty much done everything a fighter could ever dream of....except move up out of his natural weight class and clean out the division. That would be epic and would cement his legacy forever and to see him give up that dream over a loss would be sad....I'd like to see him give it another go except try Beterbiev (spelling?) this time

I’m not sure what Canelo can do differently It not like with GGG where in the rematch he decided to press the action, he was already doing that against Bivol. He can’t outbox Bivol from the outside Outside of a home run punch/robbery he isn’t winning

Canelo deserves credit for stepping up weight classes. Bivol would beat the shit out of Andrade, Charlo, Benavidez and everyone else stupid fans claim Canelo is ducking. About time they recognised the levels and stopped dismissing European fighters that would beat up their favs.
