Canelo never hurt GGG. Never stunned him.
However, In the 10th round of the 2nd fight, Canelo was BUZZED by a GGG straight right and stopped throwing for a whole minute. he was on auto-pilot
both have ATG chins tho. 90% of guys would've gone out here. watching those 2 was like watching 2 ironman.

this is the shot that put out Khan, Kovalev, Kirkland etc

Way before my time. U tell me?
- - Chicago yanked the Ali/Terrell venue leaving cash strapped Ali in desperate need of a fight. Toronto and Chuvalo the only decent fight that could be found with Chuvalo having a weeks notice.
Official Cards show a wide Ali points win, but judges then and now don't count body shots as George bulled him around and to the ropes to rip out both kidneys. Classic lose the fight with Chuvalo winning the war.
Canelo lit that boi up like a Christmas tree. He gave ggg flashbacks os ruskies electrocuting his nipples with a car battery in his last life my main man.
Ggg ate every punch in Canelos arsenal cleanly,he has to have the goat mw chin, just look at his face after 2nd fight, looked like Mike Jack resurrected as Thriller:lol1:
listen, my dark face friend.
You couldn't stop Canelo's dancing feet in the 10th round, his hands went numb from GGG's temple shot. Couldn't throw for a whole minute.
Not to mention Canelo's big ol gash from a punch. Biggest damage both fighters sustained.
GGG getting bruised in his late 30's isn't something to brag about. Think about how easily Cotto's face swelled up after he got older. That is just how the cookie crumbles. Age is the biggest difference.
No he didn't and if you went to a bookie to get paid saying that sht you would end up on a milk carton.
Funny NO questions was asked when I collected my $$$$$!!!
don't mean a god damn thing. boxing and illegal gambling are corrupt.
in reality,
GGG 2
Canelo 0
The fact that you have people saying both guys won a fight each or some who say one or the other won both fights tell you a 3rd fight needs to happen. I don't care if GGG is 40 and Canelo is killing it right now, the rivalry needs a proper ending.

GGG walked away as the more damaged fighter. At the end of the second fight he looked like he'd been beaten in a back alley let alone the punishment he took to the body. Canelo was back in the ring just 3 months later and has looked stronger than ever while GGG took a long break and still looked weak to the body vs Derevyanchenko. He straight up stopped claiming Mexican style after what Canelo did to him.
I watched the second fight again not too long ago (could have went either way) What a fight. Both showed themselves to be absolute elite that night and that was still an old Golovkin as well. Believe the Great Nash, Golovkin is arguably the greatest MW of all time, not on resume, but on ability. I know the old guys get a pass on every loss they ever had, but Golovkin could beat anyone from any era from his prime. Nash out.
It's honestly hard to say. Both guys ate the kind of shots that would have destroyed anyone else either guy ever thought and walked it off. At the same time however both guys showed more signs of being damaged than they have against any other opponent.
That how I felt about it too. I watch highlights of those fights every once in a while and just sit there listening to the hellacious shots in that fight. Absolutely crazy both of them barely budged. Is that 3rd fight when one of them finally cracks
Golovkin got a headbutt and 2 elbows (shit happens) in the rematch. Yeah I think his face would look a little more bruised than usual. And his face bruises pretty easily, as we've seen from the Monroe and Rosado fights. Doesn't mean anything.
After the fight it’s clear who got the worst of it. Canelo looked like he was ready for a photo shoot while GGG looked like he fell into a meat grinder.
The best part was BBB side scurrying off into irrelevancy after he lost the second fight. Canelo sonned his ass.
those little bruises has to do with age. early 20's fighters don't really sustain as much damage in the face. Canelo got a big gash over his eye from an uppercut tho. that is pretty srs damage between the 2.
once Canelo get into his mid 30's, you will see him turn black and blue more easily as well
People say Canelo developed further as a fighter after fighting Mayweather. And I’m not denying that. But the greatest impact on Canelo as a fighter was his two fights with GGG. He learned a lot about himself as a man in those wars.

Remember when GGG fans argued that Jacobs clearly lost because of his face after the fight?

It's honestly hard to say. Both guys ate the kind of shots that would have destroyed anyone else either guy ever thought and walked it off. At the same time however both guys showed more signs of being damaged than they have against any other opponent. Golovkin was stunned and forced to withdraw and change his normal strategy in the rematch. Canelo was rocked and looked visibly dazed several times. This hasn't really been anything I've seen with either guy either before or after the fight, though maybe it's telling that perhaps Golovkin's punch resistance has been less since the second Canelo fight - though that could just be the fact that he's aging and at the back end of his career while Canelo's still in his prime.
Both took disgusting bombs, neither seemed to wobble. I think Canelo was momentarily shook in the 1st fight but not for long. Canelo was on the move in that 1st fight, got hit fkking hard and chose to meet it head on in the 2nd. Golovkin got what he wanted in the rematch and had the Mexican stand there and fight and chose not to go toe to toe.
Monsters the pair of them and its a disservice to say either of them was particularly hurt more than the other.
