What do you think about Golovkin skills now? He has at least a win against Canelo.

Golovkin was an exciting, fan friendly, pressure fighter, a MW champ and a guy who beat every fighter they put in front of him with the exception of 2 controversial fights with Alvarez. Haters can find fault with any fighter but WTF cares? :cool:

Whatever you may think it should have been, Canelo officially has a draw and a win against GGG, and that’s all one can go by without venturing into the wild territory of pure speculation…

It is what it is, a gifted win over Kazakhian monster makes Canelo looking like a great fighter.

GGG is 0-1-1 vs Canelo, that's what his record says. Just because you disagree with a decision, doesn't change the record. GGG gave Canelo 2 good fights, but he failed to do much else in his career. He'll be in the HOF, but he's not an all time great because he didn't challenge himself enough. I hope he gets a 3rd Canelo fight so Canelo can retire him.

Lots of revisionist history. All the GGG groupies back then were saying Canelo wouldn’t last 2 rounds with him. He would walk him down and KO him early. People here said age wasn’t an issue. “He’s the next Bhop!!” He hasn’t taken damage, started late and takes care of himself. Then he looks pedestrian because he isn’t facing a guy on house arrest and suddenly he’s old. Too funny. All the excuses in the world won’t change one undeniable truth; Canelo owns GGG’s legacy, his 0, and his MW titles for all time. Cry more.

Golovkin is European/Asian so alot of Americans are guna want to discredit him. I think the majority of the rest of the Boxing world can appreciate how good he was or is. A lot of Americans judge non American Boxers with a healthy dose of saltiness. Its just what they do. Don’t forget fans of Andre Ward too. For some reason, boxing fans think they’re not allowed to be fans of two rival boxers…

What kind of contribution is that to this thread either say you think Ggg is a hellava fighter or disagree with it personally i think Canelo and Ggg both deserve props ...thats two great fights that I will always go back to over the year..can you really ask for more than that as a fan...the skills and damage done in those fights don't get the credit it deserves Will go down as the best fights of each others careers for sure

Golovkin and Canelo fought 24 rounds. Canelo won 11 rounds max. Golovkin won 13. First fight, clear Golovkin win. 8-4 or 7-5, whatever you prefer. Only ******s think this was a draw. Second fight, very close, could have gone either way. I saw GGG win as well but, any way, judges didn't. This was 36-37 years old Golovkin against prime Canelo. Respect to Golovkin, he beat Saul "the goat" Clenbuterelo Alvarez. - -Gennedy's skills infinitely better than U stooopidity...:beerchug:
