Why can't he at least use a leg press machine to build some strength and muscle there? His body is weird. It's not normal.
But I don't care about his appearance, I mean, does this affect him as a boxer?
Putting on some muscle on his legs would not matter. Balance is something he does not have, you cant train that part of your brain, you either have it or you don't.
Many blacks have skinny calves it’s genetics
while asians tend to have fat calves
Well I'm not one of those Asians. I have those Michael Jordan skinny legs and Tyson Fury belly.
Deontay dictates his own training camps and doesn't like the leg work and he's got away with it for so long and blamed everybody else for his failures he hasn't seen the need to change.
I don't think Wilder knows much about training and not sure if Scott does or Wilder would listen to him. You don't need weights to train as a boxer. In fact it can be bad for some fighters. Whatever Wilder is doing it is not working because he was gassed way too early this last fight. What surprises me is his ability to take a punch with the support he has underneath him.
All boxers use weight to some degree. Specially heavyweights.
Yes, I think that this greatly affects him as a boxer. Moreover I think that this is a prime reason of his inability to learn and execute a proper boxing technique. He lacks strength in legs, because of it his legs are always tense in order to compensate the lack of strength. And you can't have a proper boxing technique if your legs are always tense. Moreover, he compensates his lack of strenght by using in the footwork such muscles which are not meant to be used in it. So this also makes his technique awkward.
So I think that in order to have a proper technique it is necessary to work a lot on a strength of his legs.
His power made him unbeteable. He was losing rounds against many fighters.
I think he would still be very powerful if he added some weight and power on his legs. Something is wrong about his legs. He gets too tired also. Do you remember how a "heavy custome" affected his fight performance? his legs are trash it seems. How can anybody else see this? If my legs are weak, and look weak, the first thing I do is train them.
While his legs are hysterical, they are not the reason he lost.
Have we considered the fact that those same legs made him ''unbeatable'' prior to Fury ?

I don't think I've heard a worse burn on his chicken legs than that. Brutally eviscerated.
Meaning no offence to you, of course. Seems you have a sense of humour about it too which is always healthy.
Thanks! It’s only a bad burn because it’s true. The muscle in my legs has wasted away but still my legs look honestly bigger than Wilders. I don’t get that and yea you gotta be able to take this situation on the chin or you end up as a statistic. The leading cause of death in paraplegics under 55 is suicide along with accidental injuries. Having a sense of humor is a must!
that pic is photoshopped? if it's real, it's worst than I could've imagined since he always hid his chicken legs under long baggy shorts.
It's real. Maybe light of the room made them look even smaller.
There must be some explanation. Or maybe just that Wilder doesn't like to train legs and will not accept anyones orders on how to train.
Crap I’m paraplegic and have bigger legs than Wilder. Lol

Train that MFer in the basics of boxing would be more helpful.
Wilder doesn't just have skinny calves he has stick thighs too. That's not just genetics but a lack of putting in any work there.

There's a reason strongmen athletes don't even or barely train bench, it's the least applicable exercise to real world strength. I'd add standing shoulder presses to your list as something he should have done over benching.
Wilder has some hella dumb trainers with him.
I knew he had fairly skinny legs, but man I had to google that picture. I thought it was fake. What a crazy body type, and for such a high level athlete too.
I can't believe his legs are that skinny. Looks like he hasn't done leg day in his life. I can't imagine a scenario where adding muscle there would take away from his power as well. Very odd decision to never train legs. That's what he should have been training to deal with Fury's weight, not the bench press lol.
To try and support all of Fury's weight, some leg press and squats would do a lot more to help him out than the bench. That's crazy

And this is the first time you notice it? after 10 years of following Wilder?
I never noticed them being that tiny myself. He hides them under baggy shorts all the time
