Is it something in the food?

You mean like Pacquiao, from David Diaz (lightweight) to Margacheato (super welterweight)?
I haven't watched much of Pacquiao's career but if he was doing that in close to the short time span that Canelo did and beat world level fighters with mostly power shots - breaking heavier fighter's bones and getting vicious indelible ko's, then yea that's impressive too. But that's gotta be a very rare thing.
Small framed? If he's small what's large framed? Or you just mixing up height with size?
Seriously. Canelo's back is wide AF. Dude is built like a tank.
It's not Canelo's one punch power that's so impressive, it's how long can keep throwing power shots. I must admit it does look somewhat unnatural. It's practically unheard of for a fighter to move up in weight, 2 weight classes in a relatively short time, and start running through world level fighters with power shots. Yes, Canelo has technical skills but it's more than that. If you can keep throwing power shots all night, than yea it's only a matter of time before you break your opponent down, either with a ko or what he did to Callum Smith and his arm. But since Canelo's been tested, I have to assume that he's just a genetic anomaly and his new stamina for power shots is due to him fighting at a more natural weight. Either that or he's found some way to beat the drug testing system.
Add to that great timing. I think he finds it far easier to time and land his biggest shots against bigger, slower opponents.
He will always have a problem with a technical sound and fast boxer that comes to win. He does have fast hands and hit hard enough. The kid needs a signature win, all the good fighters that he has fought, like Lara, ggg, jacobs and maybe cotto, has always leave a doubt. Maybe benavidez can provide that win ala Leonard-Hearns 1, Hagler-Hearns, Sal-Gomez etc...
So canelo is a defensive wizard while walking fighters down your a clown. Shove canelo s beef steroids up your ass if you don’t think he doesn’t look dodgy. Dudes breaking arms orbital bones knocking out light heavyweights while walking them down and bullying fighters. Your the dumbass
yes you can walk people down and still maintain exceptional defense. it takes an exceptional fighter to do it
canelo is on peds but every other pro athlete is also on peds. Why should i care about BJS who also failed tests?
Canelo reminds me of Marquez 2.0 to be honest. He’s just the middleweight version.
marquez also increase his power as he went up in weight and pacquaio atleast maintained or increased his.
the peds these days are better than the old ones

Came here to say the same thing. He’s properly KO’ing chinny opponents khan/Kirkland. The rest he’s loading up and countering and bludgeoning into submission.
Since he settled into 160/168 he’s become a mini tank, look at the size of his neck! He’s just maintained his speed and movement whilst developing his IQ adding on a lot of strength.
There’s a reason he still struggles with the “smaller”, faster fighters.
**** me you're dumb. He walks them down because they can't hit him.

How do we know he has Heavyweight KO power?
Has Canelo fought at Heavyweight?
Would BJS last 8 rounds vs a Heavyweight?
Would Callum Smith go 12 rounds vs a HW?
Should Callum Smith then move up to HW since he can take HW power?
Jacobs was brutally KO'ed by Pirog and dropped by Sergio Mora and GGG. Why couldn't Canelo, the heavyweight power puncher, ever hurt Jacobs?
What about the power he displayed vs Kovalev? Kovalev, the guy who was KO'ed by light punching Andre Ward and Eleider Alvarez, and dropped by unkown, light punching Blake Caparello with a jab?
GGG went 24 rounds with a Heavyweight without getting dropped. Should he move up to HW to fight the winner of Fury-Joshua?
Cotto has been known to be a bit chinny, how was he able to go 12 rounds with a Heavyweight champion like Canelo, but was KO'ed by small Pacquiao? Maybe Cotto should fight Deontay Wilder next.
This little mexican walking down and bullying bigger fighters like it’s nothing looks dodgy as f.
Fuck me you're dumb. He walks them down because they can't hit him.
