Does it mean Crawford`s resume is garbage? Is Crawford a hype job?
You can`t say Crawford is p4p star but when 2 of his last 3 opponents discuss a possibility to fight people say it is garbage fight.
It's not a garbage fight at all.
But, it is definitely at least 5 years overdue.
Brook is a shadow of the fighter that beat Porter and Khan has not beaten a decent WW since around the same time.
Both guys are far past prime which really does affect the marketability of this fight.
I was always of the opinion that Khan felt he could let it 'marinate' like Floyd did wih Manny, but this is nowhere near that level of fight.
Boxing has actually moved on from these two guys in 2021.
So in other words :lol1:
It's a garbage fight
1. Both are severly shotworn
2. Both are there for the payday
3. Khan would dictate 147, possibly 150. To drain Brook to death
4. It's 5+ years too late. Just like Pacquiao Mayweather
Why it'

Crawford showed the world that both Brook and Khan were rubbish as if that was needed, real fans knew that they were rubbish well before then but the majority casuals 'thought' otherwise. Crawford made some spending money at no risk to himself, win win for him.
Of course the mis-matchroom casuals will lap it up because Eddie said so in his latest hour long you tube video. These idiots keep buying these trash ppv's and Eddie the snake gets away with putting crap on ppv and these casuals in turn feel like they are boxing fans lol.
Those two guys have no significant wins as of late. If anything they have been put away when they stepped it up. The only significance in this fight is the animosity between them. This fight fight will be decided by who is less shot.
I agree - it's not at the best time, but it still should get made...like a loser leave town type of fight... or both leave town if you prefer.
The problems come in when they want to put the PPV price tag on it. The same price tag they would have charged had they met in their primes.
This is the answer. It's probably a decent scrap given that they are at similar levels at this point. But like all these cash grabbing exhibitioners coming out of the woodwork...it's probably not worth the entry fee. As for the fight itself...I'm not sure Khan has the pop to break Kells cheekbones and Kell probably doesn't have the heart left to get into a firefight. Khan by flashy decision.
They were, at best and prime, an interesting grudge match. Neither of them were setting the sport on fire, though.
Khan's mouth kept him somewhat in the fans minds.
Brook just didn't have any scalps or a self marketing game.
It would be better than any exhibition junk.
There was a point in time when a fight between these two would have decided who the best welterweight in the UK was, and who would be the one to fly the Union Jack on the world stage and a true international elite fighter.
What does it mean now? Whoever wins is still going to be washed-up and irrelevant, just slightly less so than the other guy. You have to go back 6 years or more for both guys' last win against a fighter relevant at world level (Sean Porter for Brook, Chris Algieri for Khan.)
I'm sure that Brook would likely have won if they'd fought when they should have. Now, I don't know. The thing is, it's not just a "who knows" it's a "who cares." Nobody outside of Bolton or Sheffield, most likely.
It's ''garbage'' considering the condition they are in.
Who else can they beat besides each other ?
Even the novelty is wearing thin. I mean, who cares if they fight now ?
It is a good fight, because the animosity between both of them is real.
Boxing is not all about world titles and rankings all of the time.
Sometimes it is just about competition between two fighters 'Some may like it, others may whine'.
Why is the fight way too late? How old are Amir Khan & Kell Brook? Can they pass a medical test? Are they normal people mate?
BOXING is not all about titles and rankings all of the time, sometimes it is just about making fights.
Kell Brook vs Amir Khan is a fight.
There are strange people on here, very strange when it comes to boxing 'The other week, people were complaining about Dillian Whyte vs Derek Chisora III being made'.

Fight is so past it's expiration but it is still a interesting fight and the Pre-Fight Face Off Stuff would be Great!
Hopefully they finally make it happen
