In a recent interview (Sunday-Mail 4 Apr 21) where Jeff stated that he had yet to decide on retirement, he was asked about his recent fights and what he may do in the future if possible. He said there are two fights he'd like to have again, rematches against Manny Pacquiao and Tim Tszyu but not Terence Crawford. "He was a brilliant boxer and a skilful guy and I wouldn't get into a ring again with a guy of his class." On Packy he said that was the fight he was most interested in and he'd heard the fight Filipino's wanted to see. A rematch might tarnish his win he said but it was chance to shut up those who said that he did not beat Manny at Suncorp. On Tim2, he had health problems before their fight, "I fought like crap against Tim Tszyu. But do I have the same hunger as Tim to take on another fight with him? That's what I honestly need to answer with myself". My conclusions, for someone who has faced both obviously Crawford is in another league compared with the now Pacquiao.

Not sure where he thinks he's going now, I was hoping that if he did not retire he would get some proper training but meh, he likes his comfort zone and puts that in front of his professional career.

KO'd by Zerafa at middleweight who is he going to fight next, that's if he doesn't retire? Maybe Tim2 but anyone else in Australia would be another step backwards. Murata is obviously gone now so that's it for anything meaningful overseas. A lot of the blame lies with his trainer Glen Rushton I believe, he stuffed up the Crawford tour and, as I have been constantly saying, did not teach Horn how to defend. But Jeff is also responsible himself, boxing is an all consuming sport and must be put ahead of any family. They hopefully will get the rewards later. No doubt this thread will attract practards with their stupid, inane comments but perhaps we'll will get some intelligent comments too :)

During a recent interview the Hornet said to beat Mundine he planned a body attack, too easy.On the upcoming Zerafa fight, if I can avoid his right hand I'll be OK. On Crawford, in the circumstances and knowing that Arum didn't want me to win I thought that I'd have to KO him but he picked me off, normally things don't get to me mentally so that loss hurt. The best fighters in the world are Lomachenko, Crawford and Alvarez in that order. A fight with Alvarez is a possibility and that would be a massive test but that's what drives me. On a rematch with Pacquiao, he sees it as too hard for the money, I hurt him last time. Then he made $10 mil against me but has since made a lot more against Thurman. I'm going to retire when I'm 35 and will continue to smile.

Been reluctant to publicise the news that a film is going to be made about Horn's difficult youth and how his trainer helped to give him the confidence to be a world class boxer. Of course a woman is behind this so expect lots of emotional icing on the cake and not much fact or actual boxing stuff. Still any publicity is good publicity so they say but really.............
