Anyone have any other examples of score cards like this that were dominant performances?
A case can be made that Jacobs won that fight. Golovkin fans act like it was a clear Golovkin win. Golovkin should have given him a rematch.
No Jacobs wasn't going to get a rematch when Golovkin was sure he was going to fight Canelo next. Jacobs even admitted that.

Hey buddy, you're never going to change what is known as sports fandom.
In college football or a plethora of other sports, fans still support their team and trash the other team, regardless of the outcome. It's just the way it is.
That said, do you recognize this score card ? >>>>> 115-113, 112-116, and 113-115
Not only is it a split decision and very close, the "winner" came in mockingly overweight and lost his belt. It could also be argued that it was not a fair fight because the referee was remarkably flawed, ignoring some consistently low blows by the eventual winner.
I'm not bytching or moaning about this outcome but simply responding to your question about other examples of false dominancy narratives…..
Because of "Fandom", a large amount of fans claim that Salido dominated that fight and made Lomachenko his "son", his "bytcch", or his "girlfriend". While the truth is, that it was a close fight that Loma started to dominate in the championship rounds.
A more objective and contextual stance is that while Salido squeaked out a win, it was a pretty even fight despite the disadvantages one fighter was facing.
So ya see, it's just fandom and it's just how boxing is. There are likely numerous examples where a narrative is amplified. It's the narratives that give writers something to write about and fans something to fandom about.
Keep on truckin homeslice... :headbang:

No need to explain here anything. Only biased people can see Canelo CLeARLY winning 2nd fight. In my opinion first fight was clear victory for GGG. The second fight was much closer but still GGG pulled if off. It is obvious the judges were bribed by Oscar and co..
It's because the second fight was much closer. But still, most people (not so wide this time) thought GGG won.
I watched it on my own...and didn't really follow what the guys on here were saying at that time...that was during a hurricane here so I was kind of just doing bare bones stuff around that time.
Not sure if a lot on here at that time said Canelo won or if it has kind of migrated in that direction in the months since...but yeah I still had the 2nd one to GGG by the same score as I had it in the first...thought Canelo was definitely better in fight 2 though...GGG is just so active that it's hard to get clear rounds against him, and then he can pile up some clear rounds too.
It's because the second fight was much closer. But still, most people (not so wide this time) thought GGG won.
Not sure if most thought GGG won 2nd. I will say that most had it for GGG or a draw then had it for Canelo. Matter a fact off top of my head I cant remember a fight that so many scored a draw, and that's how I had it. GGG won 1st clear, and 2nd I scored a draw.

It could be if judges are way off. If your asking if a REAL scorecard like that is dominant of course not. Not even close to dominate.
Were those really the way people scored the second fight?
Had no idea there was so much support for a GGG win in the rematch, I thought a draw would be fair and he was straight up robbed in the first.

I thought GGG lost to Jacobs and Sergey
I thought GGG clearly beat Canelo in the first fight, and the second one was either way. I don’t complain about that score
The bigger travesty is the first fight
^^^^^
Agree with This
Even though the Majority had Golovkin winning the 2nd fight
You could make a case and a legit argument that Canelo won
The first fight was a case of Judges either being so incompetent that they need to scrap the way their doing things and come up with a new System or The Judging being Corrupt.
The only people on Record that thought Canelo either won or deserved a draw the first fight were Oscar & Bernard His Promoters , The WBA President ( I can only assume wants that Canelo Sanctioning $ ) & Eric Morales ( Who I’m sure didn’t let his Flag blind him when he said that) The fact 1 Judge had it 118-110 for Canelo and the Judge that scored it a Draw gave Golovkins most Dominant Round and 1 of the 2 rounds the other Judge gave to Golovkin instead scoring it for Canelo is such a Red Flag
But this is how Every Canelo fight are scored when he didn’t deserve the Result .
1 Judge is out to Lunch who didn’t watch the Fight and probably filled it out while they were on the Toilet , 1 Judge looking for any Reason and sometimes not even having one to give Canelo the Rounds especially in the 2nd half of the fight and the 3rd judge being just Biased enough for Canelo that he will only give Canelo about 2 rounds He didn’t deserve in the Fight that also happens in the Back half of the fight
The rematch couldn’t have that happen again so the new Strategy has to be stack the rounds for Canelo early. While most News papers / Commentators had 4 rounds a piece after 8 or 5-4 either fighter after 9
All 3 Judges had Canelo winning the first 6 of 8 or 9 rounds and when you consider Moretti has given Canelo every 12th round in those mis scored fights , Canelo was basically guaranteed the W unless he got Stopped.
Incompetence or Corruption is the only explanation. And I get that most of these Judges are 70+ but it’s hard to believe like clockwork only 1 of them will suddenly get a Severe Dementia lasting 45 min or so and have absolutely no clue what they should be doing while the other 2 Judges Dementia is less serious and only sporadically kicks in for 2-4 Rounds during the fight.
Sorry for the Novel.

well gee, I dont know you sarcastic fuking tard.
Was were the judges score cards an accurate representation to you or not?
Even on this site the majority of people felt GGG won. Its consistent on media cards, boxing website polls, etc.
I think it was like 80% of people and media believed GGG won convincingly.
The 2nd around it was like 60%.
I could have seen GGG win or draw the 2nd fight but still didnt think Canelo did enough to win. Sure Canelo came forward but narrative doesnt and shouldnt dictate who wins a fight.
First fight was a straight up robbery especially with that 118-110 card.
The more I think about the second fight the more I think the scoring of the first tainted it even for me. I find I always want the boxer who I perceive to have been robbed to win the rematch.
So in the second, because it was closer than the first and Canelo was coming forward I kinda just assumed he would get it.
Where as if there had been no first fight I probably just would have thought close fight, maybe draw maybe GGG.

Have to Respectfully Disagree with you man. For me there is no possible way to give Canelo 7 rounds. I haven’t watched the fight in years So I might not be 100% accurate.
Lara started off strong using his movement to take the first 3-4 rounds leaving Canelo so frustrated he actually bull rushes Lara because he had absolutely no answer at all.
Canelo lands a Monster shot on Lara I want to say round 5 , Hurts Lara and Canelo is able to grab about 3 rounds while Lara is recovering
Once Lara is able to shake it off and get his sh.it together , he goes back to winning the rounds. I think Showtime had it 9-3 for Lara at worst it was 8-4.
After Canelo landed that Hammer he didn’t land anything meaningful again ,
I’ve never seen a fight and still haven’t seen another fight where the fighter was given rounds because of so called body shots that were mostly blocked like Canelo was while Lara was consistently landing
I know this isn’t how you judge who won but look at Canelo after the fight , He’s totally dejected , Head down knowing he lost his corner telling him to not look like he lost.
Gets gifted a decision then uses the excuse every fighter uses when they didn’t do sh.it , Oh Lara ran and the media / fans runs with it.
Just my opinion
Lara got jobbed worse then Golovkin
I'll have to watch it again sometime...only watched it once and scored it.
The majority of the boxing community had similar scores so let's not act like I'm the one lying.
Can you name a time where all of the media score cards disagreed with the result?
Canelo fans want to act like the media or people have an agenda but in the same breath say things like, Canelo is the A-side, Canelo is so popular, Canelo is the face of boxing.
How can someone with so many fans have a fight scored against them? Would you like to name some examples? I can show you a few examples of favorable score cards for Canelo in Vegas.

Everyone must be blind huh?

If anybody watches UFC, there’s an IG page that scores fights with a much more accurate system.
It’s an improved 10-9 system.
So instead of 10-9, they’ll score it 9.72 vs 9.28, which would give a +.24 score for said fighter in said round. So it scores the rounds 10-9, but also by scoring just how much of the round was won.
In the end, they’ll tally up who has most overall points awarded, rather than who “won” each round.
So an example would be if a fighter wins 5 rounds but very dominantly, and the other fighter wins 7 rounds but he barely edged each round, then the other fighter who won 5 rds. dominantly would win due to overall points accumulated in comparison to his opponent. It’s a much much more accurate and telling points system.
In general I agree with your post...I would just say that when I scored Lara-Canelo, I gave Canelo the last 4 rounds as well, to get him a 7-5 win on my card..and Lara is one of my favorites to watch in this era.
Canelo raised his level and Lara did what he does a lot imo...he coasted too much and let his opponent into it more than he should have.
