Even half way across the world, out of his home country the crowd is with Fury, you could tell from the jam packed weigh in.
British fight fans are still the best in the world and Wilder still doesnt have much of a fan base.
Brits spend £20 billion ($26 Billion) on sporting events a year.
Americans spend $56 billion on sporting events.

The US has 5 times the population of the UK.
I'll let you work out which countries people spend more.
Brits are absolute fanatics when it comes to sports.... Why are people even arguing this point? American's are rabid also just the UK has MORE of the rabid LOL.
the funny part was i saw him the next night at like 3 am at new york, new york....i was even way more hammered than he was...id been drinking since thursday lol
Well, he made $12million USD, so he had money to burn.
But drinking since Thursday? Oye, that musta been one helluva hangover. I could never drink like that. I'd wind up in jail again. LOL.
You were at that massacre? I remember watching it live, wanting to see Hatton get starched, but my heart almost stopped beating when he got ko'd. I literally thought Pacman killed him!

no
British sports fans... are the best in the world, period
they are the same with everything, not just boxing
when the lions toured here a few years back the british support was amazing... it seemed like the size of my country doubled overnight
same with the barmy army, for test matches
they love it
for the most part... they will have a great time, they will be respectful/supportive of BOTH fighters... and they will compliment/congratulate Wilder if he beats Fury... some of them are cvnts, but most will be brilliant
Gotta agree with this, latest fight i went over the pond for wasJoshua vs Ruiz.
Some Mexican fans came out to celebrate and take the piss and seemed surprised that we were wrong to take the banter and congratulated them.
Get British people drunk watching sport (or music) and we'll have some fun, that's for sure
Still seats available for this overpriced "megafight": https://tinyurl.com/thtt85p
Lowest nosebleed seats going for $750+. As a comparison I recall buying upper-level Mayweather/Canelo seats for $350/seat back in 2013...
Currently here in Vegas and to be honest almost everyone I meet is a Fury fan/Brit, they were in the MGM casino dropping money and drunk. They are everywhere....
The Brits love their boxing and have fewer alternate options to spend on...the other being football (nobody watches Cricket any longer).
the thing with football/soccer is, is that it is a VAST sport and has more depth than any other sport.
What i mean by that is..
i follow the English premier league and la liga. The european champions league, the south american champions league (from the semi finals). We have the world club cup. We have international football tournies...inc the african nations cup.
the fact is in the US people arent necesserily watching all the other sports, they're just watching one.
likewise in the uk, we have cricket, rugby league and rugby union. Whilst cricket was going through a bad patch, we now have T20 format at club level and it is becoming more popular. England won the Cricket world cup final and the nation stopped.
it was a far bigger event than every major UK based boxing fight 10 times over.
We have darts, snooker, f1 and horse racing. We have Tennis too. These sports are all actually more popular than boxing in the UK. You just arent so familiar with their fans.
in various surveys in recent years, they've shown cricket to be 7th most popular based on tv views/airtime and public participation.
After Manny took Hatton out...
Same thing after Senchenko took him out. Actually louder if I recall.
You'd never get chants like this from Crawford's fans whether he wins OR loses.
I think that is the difference between them and the US fans. They like you win or lose. If you get beat they don't turn their back on you.
Sadly here most people only like winners and when they lose people generally move onto the next thing.
I remember it with Lacy and Hopkins. When Calzaghe beat them and made them look **** people turned on them. Shame.

nope !
when the english team toured here the barmy-army came en mass
fkn THOUSANDS of them... it was unbelievable
our smaller cities/grounds struggled to cope with the volume
even worse than when the British Lions toured here
Even half way across the world, out of his home country the crowd is with Fury, you could tell from the jam packed weigh in.

the brits do travel and love boxing..never denied that...ive seen it up close when i was at pac/hatton...they were good people...fun and fun to talk to

Fury would have the crowd even if it was all American fans. Most whites, Asians and Latinos will always root for the non black guy vs the black guy regardless of where the people are from.
The racist has spoken lol.
Yes some of them are completely nuts when it comes to supporting their favorite English fighters. I am a big boxing fan and have some favorite fighters. But no way in hell would I spend the money to cross the ocean and get a hotel and rent a car just to be ringside at their fight. I would wish my favorite well and watch his fight for free from the comfort of home. Wilder got booed all to hell at the weigh in. But as much as they would like to, Fury's UK fans can't jump in the ring to help him win. I wish the English fans would not sing their awful songs all through the fight but I know they will.
Wilder will have plenty of fans at the fight. Us black folk aren’t the type to sit in line all day for the damn weigh in. Not our style.
Does wilder not have white fans? Is it white for white and black for black?
So what is competing for the boxing crowd in America?
The UFC goes to the UK multiple times a year, London has actually hosted more events than any city outside of Vegas. The UK as a whole has hosted more than any US state outside of Nevada.
When it comes to hard contact non combat sports. The US has American football (which is out of season for long periods of the year) and hockey, the UK has rugby union and rugby league. Yes I am aware than the NFL and NHL are bigger leagues but again, remember that we are talking a land mass the size of a US state, with entire sports leagues crammed into them, not teams, leagues. Plus the NFL plays like 4 regular season games in London every year.
"F1 is still much smaller than Nascar"
Really not sure what you're basing this on. I'd say its the complete opposite outside of America. F1 is the pre eminent motorsports competition globally, its not even close.
NASCAR is in trouble. Bad tv ratings empty seats some tracks are down 100,000 in attendance.
Britain has the best boxing fans.
Boxing is booming in the UK with the amount of talent about, especially at heavyweight and the British boxing fans know the game and support the boxers.
Many American fighters say how they are much more attention they get from the UK compared to the USA.
Guy on the left looks like he put on whatever he found first in a charity shop. That woman's coat won't even button up if he sucked his gut in. Swag doe.
I’m getting ***** though.
I think you're going to be disappointed no free tickets being handed out to Wilder fans this fight.
People love to say racist stuff behind the safety of their laptops/phones.
