It’s cool that Joshua won but entire time I was thinking what he can possibly do to beat Wilder. I can’t picture him standing up to wilder’s punch.
In which round would Joshua get knocked out?
If Wilder boxes the way he does against Ortiz, I can't see him taking punches for 6 rounds vs AJ. He has legit power in both hands and that jab is a damn fine tool. However while AJ is a damn good boxer (and i mean boxing fundamentals, not simply fighting on the backfoot) Wilder might only need to land once! Compelling match up and I hope to heck we get to see it.
It would be an interesting fight to make.
I liked Wilder before, but Joshua showed me a lot of ability today. If he can box like that he can probably pull off the decision against Wilder. It's just a matter of not getting caught. Which in 36 minutes Wilder will more than likely test your chin.
The use of range and the jabbing will be interesting. He's not gonna be able to keep Wilder on the outside like he did Ruiz.
Actually this style could be effective against Wilder. He never presented himself as a stationary target for Ruiz. He was able to minimize the effect of some of those punches by ducking under. Wilder needs to have a steady target to land the one, two. The only issue is if Wilder lands and get Joshua on trouble we know he'll finish it quickly.
AJ isn't going to fight Wilder until Wilder is nearly 40. Mark my words. He already stated it in an interview that he wasn't ready for Wilder based on career experience. He said Wilder had 5 years against him and Wilder was just entering his prime. When AJ will be where Wilder is at, Wilder will be on his way out. Came straight out of his mouth. He's looking to take out Wilder when Wilder is on his way out.
Ive been telling y'all for over a year now. It'll be about another yr before aj would win a fight vs wilder. Anytime before 2021 and aj gets starched
- -Over a year makes U a noob boob.
What grade U in?
Wilder would get beaten up for 9 rounds, then finally windmill a haymaker on target and knock AJ out. Guy is straight trash, but that right hand is probably the biggest howitzer the sport has ever seen.
+1
Thats all Wilder is, and I love that about him.
He knows he is not the best boxer out there, but he really knows how to set that right hand. Eventually you will get caught. The only question is... Can you get up?
AJ side kept moving the ball during negotiations.
Wilder is scared of no man.
- -Deyonce a'skeered of men.
Only fights TBAs on short notice. AJ cleaned out Uncle Al stable of heavies.
He can take a better punch than Joshua. Wilder is faster and much quicker with the trigger too.
If Ruiz can land on Joshua, Wilder will too without a doubt.
Joshua has stamina issues that’s hard to overcome and Wilder doesnt have that problem. He is dangerous from the very first round to last and i dont think Joshua has the endurance to hang in the championship rounds.
who's he been tested against? scorniers? molina? spiltka?
let's not make this another tit for tat argument because in truth we just dont know what will happen, we cant even rule out fixes..and they've happened already.
wilder def doesnt have a good chin and it's why he was protected for so long.
of course he punches harder than aj...so we could well see aj flat on his back..but we also said that about Fury and look how that turned out? a 50% fury no less.
Its a shame but imagining is all we can do until Wilder stops being a grade A duck. But even as a Joshua fan i think id give Wilder a good chance of beating Joshua. I dont believe Joshua can avoid Wilders power for a full 12 so he would have to get to Wilder before Wilder got to him, Wilder is sloppy and Joshua is switched on so i give him a fair chance too but id favour Wilder.

- -AJ already decimated U uncle Al stable of heavies.
Deyonce just his fainting goat.
wilder doesnt have a good chin either
