But GGG landed more punches in every one of those fights so who was the punching bag? Are you also from the stiff jabs to the face don't really count school of stupid thought ?
meaningless punches doesnt mean shiiet. when it came down to it, ggg wasnt able to deliver on what his strength is and that's power.
sorry, power punches >>>>> little jabs
The big bad KO power punching monster shouldn't be getting outlanded in power shots against every top guy he's faced.
Those little jabs bounced Canelo's head back like a ping pong ball and made Derevyanchenko look like a raccoon
dude is slow and predictable. for all of his toughness, he still has to brace for shots, that's why he doesn't like risking to get countered while stepping in. He probably won all those fights by outpointing with the jab but Canelo physically busted his ass in the rematch, just got tired and discouraged by jabs so couldnt close him. Derevyanchenko is the ultimate proof of Comupbox bs. If Golovkin had landed half the shots they say he did, Segey would have been dead, Golovkin won those rounds by hurting him and making him go defensive but he was barely throwing otherwise...when Dervy had enough confidence to throw, he couldnt miss but couldnt hurt him other than that one time to the body.
Since you want to use Compubox as an argument...
GGG outlanded Jacobs, Canelo 2x and Derevyanchenko. He should be p4p #1. Best resume

He didnt land more punches than Derev, that´s for sure, he got outlanded and beaten from pillar to post in that fight. ofc you pathetic gggroupies will bring those bull**** compubox stats that are blatantly false as if they were valid evidence
Derev got robbed and GGG lost in pòwer punches to Canelo, and guess what, clean power punches are always more important than ¨stiff jabs¨, this isn´t amateur boxing
Nope, according to Compubox, and that's what you haters are using as an argument...he outlanded Derevyanchenko and every single one of his opponents. Go eat crow
I haven't watched the whole Chenko fight back yet, but from what I have seen, I'm actually surprised at how much Derev actually didn't land. Yes he landed a fair amount, but what I thought was landing live, didn't land when viewing it again. A lot of body shots were low or were caught on the arms, while his hooks upstairs weren't landing, blocked, not technically scoring punches, or behind the head. The talk of Golovkin repeatedly getting hurt, causing him to bend over were overstated because Sergey held his head low throughout the fight, not to mention Golovkin bending at the waist to avoid the low shots, which the ref repeatedly warned Derev about. I had Golovkin losing after I saw it live, but watching some of it back again, I might have to rescore it.
Fact: Floyd at 154, Canelo, Quillin, Martinez, Cotto, Jacobs, all ducked prime Golovkin for years. Fraudweather even said GGG was overrated and one dimensional but when GGG challenged Floyd to fight at 154, Floyd went silent. GGG is not the fighter he was 3-4 years ago, he's faded noticeably. At his best he terrified four future hall of famers. That's more important than his past his prime power punch output.
This is partially true. I´ve always said Floyd was scared into retirement by GGG
GGG was a beast in his prime, but he fought nobody of note in those years, as everybody with a name was ducking him back then
(except Canelo, GGG could have fought ginger at 155 if he wanted to, but acted like a diva instead)
Now he´s washed up and it´s clear he´s ripe for the picking. He looked horrible in the last fight and I favour every top name at MW to beat him, with the exception of the overrated Charlo

Yet he's managed to out land all of those opponents in jabs, Total punches, and landed at a higher connect percentage on power punches except for Canelo who landed at a higher connect percentage than him on Power punches...
Golovkin landed 48% of his power punches on Jacobs vs. 36% from Jacobs
Golovkin landed 43.3% of his power punches on Derevyanchenko vs. 38% from Derevyanchenko
Which, if you look at it pretty much agrees with the record.
I felt he beat Canelo in fight 1, but I felt he lost to Canelo in fight 2.
He definitely beat Jacobs in their fight, I still don't know why people are holding onto this fight as if it's controversial, and the Derevyanchenko fight was close enough with the knockdown.
Jacobs, Canelo twice, chenko..
Why is that??????
This is an excellent point, thank you for posting. Even after his fight with dchenko, I am still not certain that he is suffering age-related decline so much as he is just fighting really top level competition. He spent years defending his title against decent, but not great, fighters. Canelo, Jacobs are two of the best in be world. Dchenko just has a tenacious style.
I don’t know, maybe someone who knows more can tell us whether GGG is objectively slower now than 5 years ago. He has never moved his head, never been especially defensive-minded.
Because he's slow, always has been. His jab also lacks the power when he faces better comp. You are so full of sh it it's coming out of your ears, famous GGG hater. GGG has a smashing jab no matter who he fights. Why do you thing Canelo's head snapped back when he landed it so often you stupid hateful MFer? You just pick certain fighters to hate like GGG, Wilder and Spence and then just hate on them and trash the hell out of them every chance you get. You are just a disgusting hater and not a real boxing fan. You don't know what the hell you are talking about when it comes to boxing. All you know is which boxers you have decided to hate for your own fuced up reasons.
the power puncher becomes the punching bag.But GGG landed more punches in every one of those fights so who was the punching bag? Are you also from the stiff jabs to the face don't really count school of stupid thought ?
Because Jacobs, Canelo and Dervy are all excellent fighters. GGG landed more total punches than all of them in every one of those fights. Why is that? GGG put Dervy and Jacobs on their asses. Why is that? Maybe in your stupid ignorant clown world stiff jabs to the face don't count. In the real boxing world they very much do count and a good jab is considered the most important punch in boxing. Every thread you start is either praising Canelo or attacking GGG. Why is that?
