It is a reason why GGG did not fight his previously and why Canelo passed on him. Very Tricky Style! Quick! Unpredictable and have good POP!
Again I've posted this in during the fight, the Ukrainian fighters are well trained, they have mastered the TURN. Loma, Gvozdyk, Usyk, Derevyenchenko, they ALL use it and they use it beautifully. I Laugh at that thought of it because at one time Eastern Europeans was labeled as Robotic but having watched them in Amateurs and World Series of Boxing, it is like I watched the Evolution of their style and how they started to BEAT the Cubans in the Amatures.
So, yeah Derevyenchenko is a problem for ALL at 160 with that style and with Andre Rozier he is even BETTER. He might be the Smallest of them all next to Canelo but you seen the Heart and the Determination last night. Yeah he gets dropped, but he gets up and brings it MORE! Charlo had a tough time with Korobov, he would really struggle with Derevyenchenko who is even Quicker. I questioned about a month ago about how Derevyenchenko is with PBC/Haymon so why in the hell is their not even TALKS of Charlo vs Derevyenchenko! Like I've been posting late, Charlo to me plays it SAFE IMO, seems happy to be making good money fighting smaller guys who should be fighting at 154 like Adams and now Hogan
I'd have to favour him. Devervyanchenko has been in fights against GGG and Jacobs, that IMO could of gone either way.
While Charlo still hasn't really faced anyone at 160.
He faced korobov and clearly lost got a gift decision.
I say his infighting plus speed give charlo fits plus I dont think Jermall has enough power to get job done your thoughts?
Charlo can fight coming forward/going backwards, is sharp on the counter, and has carried his pop to 160lbs apparently.
Derevyanchenko is legit, but styles make fights
They are both PBC fighters as you've seen Sam Watson standing behind Derevyanchenko last night. Mind-boggling why Charlo keeps fighting cans when Sergey is in the same street. Haymon is a cancer.
If the pbc and Charlo thought they could win they would of already had that fight. It couldnt be any more clear that charlo is getting protected big time.
Derevyanchenko is very battle tested now. A clear argument can be made that he defeated GGG, and too a lesser extent Jacobs. That experience against two of the premier guys in the division is the best thing SD has going for him. However, Charlo is undefeated and has that unbeaten confidence. Honestly its a pick em fight, with maybe a slight advantage to Derev.
I say his infighting plus speed give charlo fits plus I dont think Jermall has enough power to get job done your thoughts?True or false is based on facts, not opinions/beliefs. Two completely disparage things altogether.

I think Charlo gets beat soundly. He's beaten nobody any good so far and would not be ready for that fight.

Feels like a pick em right now to me. It's easy to envision this constant, fairly well balanced back and forth high wire of trading and answers. But I do actually think Charlo has the power to put him away. I like it, but I'd much rather see a rematch right now.
