Started my free trial earlier today thinking I would cancel within 30 days.
Now think I’ll keep it. App is nice on my iPad Pro. Easy to navigate and a clean setup.
There’s already some decent content when fights aren’t live. Watched some old school fights. Seems Golden Boy has made a lot of their archives available.
This could be a big move for boxing to get away from the traditional PPV model. If more big fights make their way to DAZN it could be huge.
It does seem a great app. Looks good on a phone, tablet or 60 inch HDTV. Only tihng letting it down at the minute is the Americans who refuse to pay for it because they feel like DAZN is some form of Eddie Hearn assualt on the American market and they feel like they are defending American shores by refusing to pay for it and trying to discredit it.
To everybody else its just a cheap platform for some quality Boxing and many other sports.
Just got it last night and I was a little let down with the canelo 24/7 thing they had as far as the narration but I’m liking the app it’s legit hope they put some good cards together
Me too. The accent bugged me.
I got it last week for the Loma fight, they didn't even stream it.
F them.
Yea was pissed about that too. I would cancel but im too desperate to watch boxing and our options are limited.
I downloaded it again last night for the Zurdo fight. It woke me up outta my sleep with their loud push notifications. And then they switched streams from the undercards to the main fights. I had to get up and grab my phone to find the new stream. That makes no sense. The plus app is garbage
Its straight garbage.
When i sign in on my tv, i always have to get a special code to activate. Pisses me off like you wouldnt believe.
Garbage.
That's what boxing will miss without HBO.
If felt big-time.
This DAZN thing feels niche and hacky.
I wouldn’t call getting the biggest star in boxing selling out MSG niche.
Tonight is my first time watching dazn. Biggest issue is the commentary and ringside people. Gotta upgrade
We all like to make fun of Lamps but there was a big fight feel when he was on the mic

If they can maintain 2M subscribers that's 240M a year for 2 canelo fights a year.
1.2M ppv buys at $75 is only 180M per the year for the two may and September ppvs.
ESPN+ just got over a million a month or two ago. And it's 5 bucks cheaper woth 100× more content.
DAZN has a ways to go.
DAZN stream is fine now. They seem to have worked out the audio issues which were a problem on the last 2-3 shows.
However, the commentary is TERRIBLE. Kay Adam and LZ whoever know NOTHING about the sport. They add nothing to the telecast. SRL also adds nothing. Most of what he says is incoherent, and when you can understand him, he's making an utterly obvious point.
They also need to replace Brian Kenny. He never calls the fight. He talks about 100 other things besides what is happening in the fight. He's not calling blow by blow, he's having a conversation while there is a fight going on in the background.
DAZN's imitation 24/7 / All Access is just that - a cheap imitation. Boring, bordering on unwatchable. The two clowns AK and Barak need to go back to cable access or YouTube or wherever they were before.
Get some professionals in there.

Great point, this is what people don't seem to understand. DAZN won't be looking to make a profit for 5-10 years.
I mean eventually they will have to decide if boxing is worth the amount of money they are throwing at it on a yearly basis, but we are still ways away from that. Big time get with the Canelo addition and that will help increase the subscriber base short-term over any other addition.
It is not realistic to expect them to get their money back from the Canelo signing. DAZN is here for the long run, they don't care if they lose millions of dollars in their first few years.
2 million subscribers is EXTREMELY unlikely without getting NFL or NBA rights, and those that get DAZN for Canelo's fights aren't guaranteed to keep DAZN. They can just sign up for it and cancel it after every fight.
DAZN isn't expecting to get their money back on this investment. They just want to grow the brand and build their subscriber base.

The economics don't work. Let's see them try and make a huge PPV level fight on their platform.
There's a massive difference between $10 and $75/$80.
