The 1 billion dollar question is what Hearn pulls out his ass for his Nov 17th show.

Its starting to reveal itself what Hearn and DAZN are up to though. This aint just about the US, hes setting up franchises, theyre going for the world. I remember David Higgins in an interview saying "with what Hearn's planning he could go down as the best promoter in history". I thought steady on mate. But now we're starting to see the plan. Now that is something to be excited about and that could work for sure if the plan is more GLOBALLY and not just depending on US Subscriptions Alone. Same thing Netflix does in which last time I checked has 125 Million Subscribers Globally and counting. That is over a Billion $ in Monthly Subscriptions which is just INSANE Once his Sky Sports Deals are up maybe the next move is to get DAZN in the UK which would really be huge since the UK seems to love DAZN even though they don't have it yet

I'm not sure anyone knew GBP was going to need a new home by the end of the year. But yea if sh^t woulda lined up better I bet Oscar coulda had a even better deal then he's got. Great Point! HBO shutting down boxing proved to be huge for DAZN

I’ve already said it but it’s going to be interesting what the 3 platforms do from here on out and who’s left standing after the dust settles Actually, all will be successful because they actually aren't battling each other now. It was just HBO vs SHO. Now, HBO is out the picture and SHO has no competition in the premium cable world. Over on regular cable, ESPN only has FS1 to worry about and as long as they don't have cards on the same night everything should be cool. FOX is all alone on the free TV market. DAZN and (ESPN+) to an extent are the streaming services. As long as non on the shows overlap each other, their should be no problem and they can all thrive at the same time.

Eddie Hearn has yet to deliver on anything that he's promised to DAZN, and now DAZN was able to finalize a deal with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez ($36.5m per fight for the US TV rights, basically locks in Canelo at averaging 1m homes per fight for the next ten fights on PPV) without Eddie Hearn bringing it to the table. Hearn had to sign off on this deal. Just like the WBSS deal. He isn't involved directly with Canelo but now can match Fielding, Brook, etc and get his stars paid. I wonder what Jermall Charlo is looking to do now

Dazn was already great at 10 bucks a month. Now it has all of the Matchroom cards, all of the GBP cards and the WBSS season 2. In addition to Bellator and Combate Americas.

From what I read GBP has 10 dates but those 10 dates could also be on Hearn's 16 dates GBP will be co promoting on Hearn's cards. GBP isn't co-promoting with Hearn, that makes no sense at all. They bring the biggest star in boxing to DAZN just to co-promote? Huh? Why? Plus they brought over their library. This is a separate deal from Hearn. I'd still imagine Hearn still has his same budget. DAZN is loaded with money, they want as much sports content as possible. What this does though is put Hearn on the clock. Time to get some big signings of his own. Or else after two years are up, may not make any sense picking up the six year option as they can just give GBP their boxing budget.

Not a single mention of Hearn in the press releases for the Canelo deal. According to Fat Boy Dan Oscar made the deal directly with DAZN deal has nothing to do with Hearn. Deal was made with Oscar and John Skipper. Just like Oscar said a week ago when told reporters Canelo is not signing to Hearn or Arum and that they are not co-promoting him with any promoter that they would go above the promoter and sign his own deal with the network. And that's exactly what he did. So they are shelling out 365M guaranteed to Canelo and also the 10 fights per year budget they just gave Oscar for Golden Boy fights is a huge financial commitment for DAZN. So are they paying some or all that money out of the pot they were going to pay Hearn? I heard someone say DAZN has a 2 year opt out clause in their contract. I have a tough time believing he’ll be fighting on any other platform in the foreseeable future when it comes to rights for his fights in the US I could be wrong though Hearn said it would be fight by fight. But the only real US PPV fight for Joshua is Wilder, outside of that it I doubt he would be able to make more than what DAZN would pay him elsewhere.

You have the math slightly wrong. If this has come out of Hearn's budget then the GBP deal is $66m a year for Canelo alone. Couple that with Oscars other shows you've got to think this deal is worth at least $80m a year. Can't then believe Hearn only now has $45m a year for his 16 shows. I personally think Oscar has got his own separate pot. IF Canelo brings subscriptions up to 2m a month then that's $240m a year revenue. Enough to still give Hearn his $125m a year, Oscar $80m and and whatever to the WBSS. I'm sure DAZN has no interest in even breaking for 5-10 years, Netflix barely makes a profit and has been around for 20 years. Next 5-10 years will be about increasing subscribers and growing their content offering. Hearn definitely hasn't spent w/e money he's spent like he's got $1B total/$125M a year thats for sure. And this Canelo thing sounds like its a DAZN thing not a Hearn thing so idk that he's spent ANY money here. But then again idk if this means that DAZN is spending their own side money towards GBP/Canelo or if this $365M deal means Hearn now has a $635M total/$79.3M a year budget with DAZN using 1/3 of Hearn's budget on getting GBP on the platform. This is EXACTLY what Hearn wanted... He's being mentioning it in interviews for the last week that there was a big announcement regarding the platform. When new fighters now come over .. do you think they're going to matchroom or GBP? it's matchroom... They have the budget to pay the fighters not GBP. Canelo has his money... GBP have 10 dates but they don't have the date numbers or funding to overpay larger named fighters to fight on those cards ! GBP have 10 dates.. matchroom US/UK have over 50, who's gonna pay them and keep them active? Hearn.
