Today's Canelo is ten times better than the green drained 152 pound Canelo that Mayweather beat so easily many years ago. Of course Mayweather is now much older and slower. GGG would slaughter Mayweather just as quickly and easily as Canelo would for that matter. Mayweather only takes fights he is sure he can win so he won't even consider a rematch with Canelo. Who can blame him. He is a 41 year old welterweight. This is just my opinion and nobody knows for sure who wins fantasy fights. You can never prove it but you can think it and that's what I think.

Holy crap, is this a serious question?! The 2018 version of Canelo would demolish ANY version of Mayweather. This Canelo actually has stamina, big power, much better boxing skills and didn't shy away from getting hit by Golovkin....What the hell would he have to fear with Floyd? There would be no way that Mayweather could get Canelo's respect een if Floyd was at his absolute best.....Too many boxing fans have been hoodwinked by the mythology of Mayweather. He struggled with much lesser fighters than the new and improved 2018 version of Canelo.

Floyd’s reflexes and speed has gone down already. He needed those two to beat canelo like a pup.

I don’t see why people are even excited to talk about this, or even see it happen. I mean yah a guy at the prime of his life at 160, a weight floyd never been to, would beat Floyd who’s obviously retired and been past his best many yrs before. Worse is they think they’re already being smart with their predictions, when even a casual can see that happening.

Lol just because Canelo barely beat a big slow opponent doesnt mean that he beats Floyd. Floyd still got the speed, defense and shoulder roll. You cant beat what you cant hit and Canelo would still struggle to land enough to a point where he outpoints Floyd let alone KO lol.

At 28 and 160 pounds, Canelo has an advantage over any version of Floyd

Canelo would most likely beat a 40 year old Mayweather but I don't think it's decisive at all. Canelo still seems to fatigue mid fight and fight flat footed at times. Floyd would also still have the reach advantage but he no longer has a speed advantage and definitely not power. The rematch would be close with Canelo edging it out. Unless you beat Canelo every single round or knock him out there is no way you can beat him in Vegas, the judges will make sure of it.

It's pretty clear, following the Mayweather, that Canelo would beat Mayweather decisively in a rematch.
