ESPN have announced that Lomachenko vs Linares will start at 8PM ET which is 1am if you're in the UK.
There's one Undercard fight before they Lomo-Linares starts which should be no later then 9PM ET / 2am UK time.
For me this is the right time for a Boxing Main Event to start no later then 9PM ET.
Too many fights recently are starting at Midnight on the East Coast, which is 5am in the UK.
I understand the time difference between East and West coast especially pacific time but watching Boxing in the Afternoon, early evening used to work fine and i see no reason why it wouldn't in 2018.
What do you guys think...do you like 8PM ET for a Main Event Start?
8PM is excellent. Definitely a great time. A main event that comes on later than say ten o'clock is BS.
We get that a lot over here...even fight cards that are in DC or NYC have main events as late as 11:30PM. Sometimes I don't mind it but if I want to hit a nightclub afterwards then that could pose a problem...
SN: Fred G. Sanford had a mean body punch back in the day LOL
I tape ESPN fights and watch them whenever I want. That way I can fast forward through the endless commercials and meaningless build up and just go straight to the fight. Showtime and HBO don't have commercials fortunately.
You sure mate? The BoxNation broadcast seems to end at 5am. I hope you're right though
Yeah its early, remember Golden Boy would only let Linares fight if it didnt clash with their card and what was supposed to be the Canelo/GGG replay.
Boxnation Twitter saying UK broadcast starts at 12 with Conlan, then the 2 feature fights.
It all depends on where you are. When I lived out west, this would be a 5 PM start, too damn early. Now that I'm back on the East coast it's at 8 and I like it. But here the NFL starts at 1 and I feel like I'm just waiting for it to get going, back out west when it starts at 10 or 11 AM it's bloody perfect. It all just depends on how on personal preference depending on your location, what's good for someone won't be good for others and you can't really change that when you have fans so dispersed across time zones.
I hear you but some Main Event fights are starting at ridiculous times now.
Its past Midnight ET before most Top of the Bill fights finally get in the ring...way too late!

Thats 2 in the morning in my country..does the undercard start at this time or the main event itself?
Might tune in
According to ESPN, their BROADCAST starts at 8PM ET and there's only 1 Fight before the LOMO-LINARES.
Where can I watch the Linares-Lomachenko WBA lightweight title fight?
The broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday. The main card includes a 10-round welterweight bout between Carlos Adames and Alejandro Barrera. These fights also will air live on ESPN Deportes and stream live on the ESPN App.
Carlos Adames will knock out Alejandro Barrera inside 6 rds so the LOMO vs LINARES will start no later then 9PM ET / 2am UK Time.
UNDERCARD FIGHTS Starts at 4.30 ET on ESPN+ which includes Michael Conlan vs. Ibon Larrinaga.
