At the Nevada commission's request, Canelo had hair follicle drug testing last month & it was negative for clenbuterol, lending credence to his assertion his positive tests in Feb. were from meat contamination. My story: https://t.co/GvgLQWgJYM GoldenBoyBoxing oscardelahoya
Looks like Cinnamon is innocent after all, thoughts?

If this is true, which apparently it is, then I retract all the bs I said about Canelo. I was wrong.
Time to wrap this up folks, let's now hope everyone learns something from this experience. End of chapter, time to turn the page, and although the story continues, it's best to bookmark this so that other athletes living or visiting Mexico and China, are aware of the danger and avoid embarrassing accusations, million dollar setbacks, and bad contaminated beef.
I need to pay closer attention I had heard this never got agreed to or submitted by Canelo. Have in fact been hearing some mfers dogging Canelo more in the last few days for NOT doing the hair thing despite him apparently doing it lol.
But w/e I heard the hair test deal is on some lie detector level of accuracy so idk if it legit means he's innocent or not.
There is some oddness about it because it didn't show any level of Clenbuterol present, which is not what would be expected if the previous positive tests were to be accepted. I honestly don't know the science behind it well enough to be sure of the implications, but it's clear that behind the spin there are some serious doubts about the reliabilty of HFT for Clenbuterol testing as the VADA testers apparently took pains to point out. I'm inclined to say jury is still out despite the GBP PR offensive, although unless we're to simply ignore all evidence that doesn't support our personal beliefs I'd say it has to add some weight to Canelo's claim of meat contamination.
EDIT: Not much academic research available that I've been able to easily find, just a coupla abstracts and not much on more recent research which shows further difficulties with certain hair types. It is interesting though that something like 89% of Mexican soccer players showed trace amounts in hair, but Canelo - who is known (presumably) to have ingested Clebuterol had none. Mistest possibly? Who knows.

NB: This is a duplicate of a post I accidentally posted under the PICK EM CREW account. I don't want anyone to think this reflects the opinion of the Crew as a whole, just my personal take. Ta. K
Breaking news from Nevada.... This press release just posted.
'following recent speculation the commission can confirm that the recent hair test of canelo Alvarez was indeed positive. We regret to inform the global boxing community that this man is indeed ginger.'
There were screams of denial when this broke. Alvarez is threatening a lawsuit but the commission is standing firm.
More to follow...
So he really is a ginger? OMG I really believed he's innocent because we Irish people support each other. He disappointed me :(

They already have their mind made up.
Jesus Christ himself could clear Ca$hnelo and they wouldn't budge. They are inbred...the product of two sibling rednecks making sweet, sweaty love inside the trailer after a night of keystone light
Flip flopping bytches said only way for canelo to clear his name was take the hair test. Mocked him saying he won't because it will expose all his other PEDs hes on and other nonsense claims. He takes the test and it proves no PEDs now nope now the test is inaccurate or its a conspiracy the results were rigged. LMAO
It'll be fun reading the responses of all the Mass Shooting Inbreds that were demanding a hair test doe,.
Suck them Clenelo balls you little bytch :D
Attacking the scientific credibility of hair testing for clenbuterol because of color variations is simply an uninformed argument. Many drug tests have all kinds of variations. Urine samples can be diluted or concentrated. Asians have much lower T/E ratios compared to blacks etc.— Victor Conte (@VictorConte) April 27, 2018
The hair test results for clenbuterol in the Canelo case are MORE revealing than the urine results in regards 2 possible intent to cheat. Hair results represent a longer period of time than urine results. If they had found more than 20 pg/mg of clenbuterol in his hair. BINGO!— Victor Conte (@VictorConte) April 27, 2018
CANELO: Hair & urine represent different time periods. The limitation w/ urine is that it ONLY reflects the recent 2 weeks. Hair represents the more historical perspective. The limitation w/ hair is that it does not reflect recent exposure. BOTH specimen types have LIMITATIONS. https://t.co/0b1uKU80gT— Victor Conte (@VictorConte) April 27, 2018
Yes Gabe this Canelo hair testing result is a game-changer for boxing https://t.co/z7m6o0G4il— Victor Conte (@VictorConte) April 27, 2018
Hair is a scientifically valid sample type 4 clenbuterol testing in the Canelo case. Yes there are variations w/ hair color. However they measure at picogram concentrations. A picogram is equal to one trillionth of a gram. This is ultra trace analysis by a WADA accredited lab.— Victor Conte (@VictorConte) April 27, 2018
Canelo testing negative 4 clenbuterol in hair is very important. Seems WADA will soon establish an allowable limit for trace amounts of clenbuterol in urine & hair. No doubt. Canelo having no clenbuterol detected in a hair sample should mitigate his consequences. Game changer.— Victor Conte (@VictorConte) April 27, 2018
Dumb inbreds were asking for hair follicle testing a month ago, today it comes back negative and these same idiots are saying it's not a good test all of a sudden.
Idiot whiteboys just tired of getting their asses kicked by every race out there, need to "win" something. Can't even win at the hair follicle test.
It was witch hunt these idiots had their minds made up on day 1. So it's no surprise seeing these guys demand a hair test as the only way to prove whether he was innocent or a cheater. Now well I don't buy the test anyway WTF lol
Not just that people don't realize that numerous other PEDs, Steroids, etc stay in your hair for months. Which is why idiots here said he would NEVER submit a hair test because it would pop for Clenbuterol and all these so called drugs he is cycling in his system. Well he took it and it was NEGATIVE no PED use period. Contaminated meat is so little trace in your system which is why it doesn't show up in hair test.
Yeah, they are ****ing clowns
