Ward is very strong and stronger than his opponents so he can use his strength to maul, wrestle and hold and hit. At heavyweight that strength advantage would be gone and heavyweights would be stronger than Ward so the tactics that worked against light heavyweights wouldn't work on 220 to 250 pound boxers. Any top 10 world rated heavyweight would knock Ward out in my opinion. AJ, Parker, Wilder, Ortiz, Miller and the other top 10 heavyweights all KO Ward.

Which HWs could you have seen him beating? Prob none and I'm a big fan of Ward.But he don't have the power RJJ had.And there even bigger now.Some guys have bodies to move up div and some don't.I think Loma as great as he is(and I don't use that word easy)is a guy I don't see being able to move to much more without having to be very carefull with matchmaking.Thats why I think ALOT of times its more impressive to stay at your weight and clean it out.Fightin all the style's that come along.

Maybe Parker. While he’s more skilled then Joshua and Wilder.. the size difference is too great too overcome. Ward and Virgil sounded very confident when asked about fighting Joshua. Like they knew they could beat him.
