Where does Ali go from here?

I don't know if he should fight Brook as many are suggesting. I think he needs to get the hell out of 154. He could beat Smith and possibly Brook but then it might be to late to get down to 147.

I think he should return to 147 and try to rematch Vargas. He probably won't give up his title and will stay at 154. I don't think he is that good but Cotto was really bad enabling him to win. Hurd,Charlo and Lara would all knock him out in my opinion. I don't think he can beat Thurman, Porter, Crawford or Spence. He is more of a contender than a champion in my opinion. The Cotto win will probably remain his biggest achievement. He could beat Horn but Crawford will get to Horn first.

I’d try and get paid going to Australia for a Horn fight. Or be fed to Crawford if the price is right.

Well he has plenty of options right now. At 154, Lara, Charlo, Hurd may all be busy with each other...if Haymon remembers he is running a boxing stable. So a fight against someone like Smith? Williams? Or he can go back to 147, which I think is a bad idea because he looks healthier at 154 and fight Horn? Pacquiao? Crawford? These options are more viable but far less winnable.

He should move back down to 147 or fight another career 147lber looking to move up. But he needs to stay away from the big boys at 154lb too big for him.

Golden Boy could pick him fights that would be completely winnable for a while if they really wanted to

Sadam's very skilled, good amateur record including a win over Crawford, his punch resistance and durability are my concerns with him, he should definitely move back down to 147, like to see him fight anybody in the top 10.

How does Vargas have his number? Ali was beating him clearly until he got caught. I recommend re-watching. Once Vargas adjusted, the writing was on the wall. I even called it as that fight was playing out (and I was rooting for Ali).

If he cant secure a low risk/big reward opponent at 154, he should move down to 147. He looked chubby at 154.
