This is Joshua's WORST FIGHT so far!
Never seen him looking this bad, even against Wlad he was much better.
I could easily tell this even before the fight just by AJ's shape, he was in worst shape ever. He just got fat...
Anyway props to Takam!
AJ needs to improve a lot to beat Wilder & even Parker... Yes, Parker.
AJ looked pretty *meh*, considering it was a late replacement who was significantly smaller than him. I think people finally realize that Wilder is a bigger threat than they were willing to admit and maybe Wlad really was 41y/o and far past prime.
Dude was completely thrown off by a midget's jab.
Styles make fights, and Wilder is going to knock Joshua out.
With the overload of stupidity on here , i actually want the rematch too just so we would see Takam get knocked out fast with a full camp Joshua . lol
Imagine what these morons would post if social media was around in the 90's when Lennox Lewis went the distance with Levi Billups ? They probably dont even know who that is , it was a 210 pound journey man who couldn't punch .He wouldn't even be ranked in top 100 today ,they would have Lewis retired just after 19 fights .:lol1:
Yeah there are a lot of Wilder haters and casuals on here unfortunately, there's a guy claiming Takam was robbed, smh @ these dummies.
Funny that people think an average performance by AJ suddenly enhances all of Wilder's average performances - which has been all of his title defenses so far.
People are quick to forget how crap Wilder looked in his fights, which was way worse than anything AJ has produced.
I think this was more about Takam being better than most suspected rather than a blemish on Joshua's performance. Takam showed good footwork, upper body movement and mixed up his punches. He was not an easy target that stands right in front of his opponent (like Stiverne) and he is a strong, solid fighter with thick muscle and a decent chin. He's certainly been in the ring with better opposition than Stiverne.
While I did see this as a premature stoppage, there is no doubt Joshua was coasting to UD victory. Possibly a more impressive KO in the 11th or 12th.
... Right... AJ needs rounds, of course... He only fought past 3 rounds vs White, Breazeale, and Klitschko...
Absolutely he needs every round he can get.
Wasn’t a total waste of a night. AJ was able to get 10 solid rounds of work in. That’s always valuable.

Honestly this generation is truly the dumbest of the bunch and thats bc they actually have social media ( its suppossed to make you smartet ) !
They penalize dominant fighters who hit hard that dominate an entire fight and reward struggling fighters and ones who BARELY pull out a win ? If they're not doing that they are now recalculating how a 45 yr old Ortiz beats JOSHUA bc he pummled Takam on 2 weeks notice ..wow idiots galore !
Thoughts ? lol
It was a bad stoppage but i'm seeing morons demanding that Takam gets a rematch. I think AJ probably wanted to get some rounds in and after the broken nose he probably didnt want to push too much

Lol are you being serious? Based on what exactly?
Team Wilder has no money too make Joshua an offer hes simply worth over 5 x the amount of Wilder thats why . Wilder does not generate money like that so Hearn makes and has too put the fight together on his terms this is just a fact .
Exactly. There is no way around this.
That's why Wilder is trying to weasel his way to a 7 million dollar purse to fight Whyte when his own team won't pay him more than 3 million to fight anyone (including Povetkin).
Team Wilder has no money too make Joshua an offer hes simply worth over 5 x the amount of Wilder thats why . Wilder does not generate money like that so Hearn makes and has too put the fight together on his terms this is just a fact .
That's total BS. Dillian Whyte is effectively offering Wilder an 80/20 split in Wilder's favor. If Joshua is worth 5 x the amount Wilder is then why doesn't Wilder make an offer for an 80/20 split in Joshua's favor? We don't know Joshua would turn down an 80/20 split because it hasn't been offered. I wonder why.......
They just completely omit that from their thought process. That's okay...
Soon it will be all over for the guy from Alabama. He will cash out and be happy after he realizes that AJ has defeated him by this time next year.QUOTE]
B*tch please...
The guy from Alabama has the bodybuilder and his handlers ducking.
IF Wilder wants the fight why doesn't Di Bella and Haymon make AJ an offer? IF Wilder really wanted the fight he would make an offer or at the very least say he would accept x% of the split. The fact Wilder isn't prepared to show his hand suggests he's all talk as usual.
WTF are you talking about? Joshua threw over 45 punches a round. That is above the heavyweight average, and if you consider the heat on most of his punches, there is nothing wrong with his output. Joshua threw 450 punches through 10 1/2 rounds, Wilder threw 620 punches against Stiverne over 12 rounds.
There are literally no facts to support your argument.
It's laughable. Apparently Wilder throws so many more punches.

It's the worst I've seen him look. I have always picked him to beat Wilder but if he fights this poorly I'll go with Wilder to win. He averaged a tiny number of punches thrown per round. Wilder throws more punches in 3 rounds than he threw in this entire fight. They both have great power and mediocre chins but with Wilder throwing so many more punches he has a better chance to land a fight ending bomb first.

Another so-called fight fan that doesn't want to see AJ vs Wilder.
You don't know sh*t about boxing...
Why should you...ya'll can't fight:lol1:
I never said AJ shouldnt fight Wilder but knowing Wilder, he is going to put up as many road blocks as possible. If he gets through Stiverne, which he should, then its fine, he can shut up, take whatever money he is offered and finally headline a major even against the superior fighter...and get ktfo in the process.
I'm all for that, in the mean time, I'm fine with AJ v Takam 2.

I thought he looked good physically, more slender and looser than usual. The nose injury probably obstructed his breathing. There was more finesse to his game last night, more fluid. Less stiff.
Him looking mediocre against uncompelling opposition. Everyone knows it so playing ignorant just makes you look petty.
I think there was one really talented HW (Ortiz) and he completely fuked himself so the HW scene is back to boring me now. You guys can argue all day about AJ and Wilder but I'm really not impressed by either.
Unlike Wilder who looks like a superstar every time against stellar opposition?
