This is what happens when you don’t have a promoter guiding your career. You fight a guy you have no business getting in the ring with and you get knocked the f out.
THANK YOU! OK so now when a Prospect take longer to step up all these b1tches on this forum better not say a fuking word. What a bunch of fuking hypocrites!
Lubin had no business getting in the ring with Jermell. It’s going to be hard to recover from that loss.
so one one hand ya'll slam fighters for not fighting threats..then on the other you slam them for daring to be great?

Gary Russell recuperating? He's been the champ since like 2015. I think he's back.
Not all the way back. There was a lot of buzz around him before the loss. He has some good wins and like you said he's a champion but no one is talking about him like they were before.
The problem with fighters like Lubin and J-Rock is there's no plan in place for rebuilding their careers. It's one thing to step up too soon but the reward isn't worth the risk when you don't have someone to build your career back up. Gary Russell is still recuperating from a loss to Lomachenko. While Lomachenko was able to bounce back after a loss to Salido.

People are way overreacting to guys getting ko'd..
If you have been a fan long enough, many young fighters have been stopped/defeated early in their careers and bounced back to have tremendous careers..
Winky wright
Terry Norris
Manny pacquiao
Azumah nelson
Marco Antonio Barrera
Just to name a few

and they knew that before hand??? for every lubin who loses there is a jeff horn who takes a risk and becomes an all time great
That's like saying Joe Smith is great for knocking out B-Hop. Pac is 40 years old part time boxer-full time senator lol.
With that said, Jeff Horn beats Lubin lol.
They were not ready they each fought a guy who’s skills were more advanced than theirs.

LOL, they were ready. Both got clipped early and couldn't recover. It happens.

You don’t go from journeymen to world champion in their prime. Look who the Charlos fought to win their 1st title. Jermell fought John Jackson a fellow prospect. Jermall fought bundrage.
Wilfred Benitez was a 3 time champ by 22, mike Tyson was p4p #1 in the world at 20. Lubin stepped up like more boxers should he wanted better competition and he got it.
That's why I said in the 2nd sentence everyone can't come in a dominate. Everyone isn't Tyson and Benitez.
This is no worse than Top Rank prospects feasting on bums and journeymen for 30 fights and then getting a shot at a vacant WBO belt against yet another overmatched foe.
The Charlo bros were too big of a step up for Lubin and J-Rock but even with a few more fights under their belt, nothing guarantees than the outcome of these fights would have been any different.
Promoters usually make sure to find the division's weakest beltholder for their prospects's first title shot. Observe how Giberto Ramirez and Oscar Valdez became champions. Ishe Smith, Bundrage or Hatley would have made the cut for Lubin and J-Rock's first title shot. But instead they had the choice between a very experienced southpaw who is very hard to beat, talented physical specimens or wait two or three years until a champ vacates his belt.
Some Al Haymon prospects were at the right place at the right time and had a relatively easy road to the title (Charlo bros), others didn't have that luxury. They took a risk, they failed, back to the drawing board.
You need expierence. Everyone can't come in and dominate from the start.
A 22 year old Charlo was not fighting for a championship he was the opening bout on Showtime Extreme.
