Hell, Teddy Atlas had GGG winning 117:111, even Dontae said GGG won clearly.
Only 3 out of over 40 of the journalists/media outlets said Canelo won, everybody in boxing saw a clear GGG victory. Move on.
False.
And teddy Atlas is an idiot

Still waiting for all those gifs from GGG. kind of hard when you don't land much clean or with power. A lot of shots missed badly or grazed canelo
If we were to show every gif of GGG landing clean, we would be here all day. That would be almost all of the fight, instead of just 3-4 gifs, it would be 100.
this all day (i still think 3g eeked out a very, razor thin close dec).
3g's right hand found a home on the top rope. it was funnyAF watching them sail harmlessly past canelos head.
some judges/fight fans are enamored with ''work rate'' regardless of it being effective or not.
GGG was aggressive the key was most of the night it was effective aggression. Just coming forward missing and missing badly. You don't get points just for coming forward eating clean hard shots.
LOL, why even bother with this small minority of people who actually thought Canelo won, or even got a draw. The Golovkin won fraction is some where in the 70s. People know what they saw. Canelo knows IMO.
This is like trying to convince someone Tupac or Elvis is dead. There's nothing you are going to do to convince them otherwise.
You failed to show that before that happened, he popped GGGs head back with a stiff jab.
No, he did not. There is a jab exchange a couple of seconds earlier, but GGG clearly gets the better of that.

So because Canelo missed as well, he won?

A knock down is 1 point. Canelo and Ward both won the fight (in my eyes) 7 rounds to 5.
7-5 = 115-113 - 1 point for a knockdown = 114-113. Doesn't change the outcome. I understand but I'm just saying this fight should've been scored different cuz canelo didn't get dropped. Even if it's a point difference
Completely disagree with this narrative. Canelo is much flashier of a fighter than Golvokin. Golovkin missed many powershots because Canelo has a flashy defense. When Golovkin missed a big right or a hook, EVERYONE saw it, and he looked clumsy. Because of this, you think that he won the fight with his jab.
However, Compubox has them landing a virtually identicaly # of power shots (4 punch difference), while Golovkin landed 50 more jabs. Even if you think Compubox is not correct, there's no huge discrepancy there.
They both landed a very similar number of power shots. Canelo's were eye catching, and Golovkin's weren't.
Your just going to leave out the fact that Canelo landed more power shots at significant higher connect rate double digit percents higher then GGG. The fact that he landed more power shots despite GGG throwing 70 more shots and still Canelo outlanded him. And the total is misleading because you judge by rounds and 7 of the 12 rounds Canelo outlanded him in power shots while throwing much fewer shots. That speaks to how badly GGG was missing. So they weren't similar one guy was throwing a ton of them but missing and when he landed they weren't as flush or clean as canelo's. Canelo outlanded GGG in body shots, uppercuts, power shots and had higher connect rates. GGG literally only outlanded Canelo in jabs. GGG looked clumsy and missed badly because he couldn't land anything effectively but jabs and even those were a career worst levels missing more jabs then ever in his career and having one of the lowest connect rates on his jab for his career. GGG threw much more but Canelo landed much cleaner and harder shots.

Everyone gave credit to Golovkin for his jab...how else would anyone be giving him 5-6-7 or 8 rounds? It certainly wasn't from power shots. Golovkin controlled the fight overall with his jab.
That's what the people who think Golovkin win saw, whether they are aware of it or not.
Canelo landed the cleaner, more effective, powerful, telling shots. While Golovkin did a great job controlling the fight with his jab. It was enough to win him 5 rounds on my scorecard, 6 rounds on one of the judges scorecard, and 7 rounds on another judge's scorecard. That's a testament to how great his jab was and everyone is giving him credit for it.

It's what I've been saying GGG threw so many weak jab, some just to measure distance and set up other punch that were probably being counted
Still I'm sure the punch count would be closer than people think but Canelo did land more better punches
Yup when you see the gifs or high light clip replays you see 2 things how much GGG missed and the times he did land most were deflected and grazed canelo or were simply pawing jabs by GGG just to measure or tap canelo. A lot of limp wristed jabs by GGG. When he loaded up to throw anything hard including jabs he missed time after time. Canelo landed the cleaner shots and the harder shots. That's why it's much easier to find gifs and highlights for him then GGG. You slow down any 10 sec clip of GGG and it's just him coming forward but nothing landing clean.
He was out landed by every punch stat but jabs, canelo more body shots, more uppercuts, more power shots, etc. And even jabs he missed a career high and didn't land it clean most of the fight.
