1. Rigo is poetry in motion. But his punch output is so low. He is the only boxer that I've seen win a round with only 7 punches per round. Boring to the casuals but extremely talented. The little guy can crack too. But I'm no casual fan, I love this dude.
2. Pacquiao
3. Viloria
4. Kovalev
5. Hopkins
6. Mayweather
7. Murray
8. Postol
9. Lara
10. Nietes
People have their own intrepretation of boring. Often those at the top end of their game - Pac-Man, Ward, Mayweather; for example , are considered it because of there levels above opponents.
Sometimes their skillful boxing isn’t like by more casuals. Tyson Fury is another great example, even in the uk where fans follow much more thick and thin it’s fair to say he has only recently really grown his popularity despite arguably being #1 HW in the world. In fact in the rematch with Klitschko is style was considered so boring he wasn’t even expected to make a sell out at the time!
Ward hopkins and wlad klitschko for me althouhh that joshua fight puts wlad just behind them for me.
Agreed. Hopkins became pretty unwatchable towards the end of his career and Ward was almost unwatchable even in his prime lol. Klitschko had some dreadful nights but he was also in some exciting fights and scored a lot of KOs, so.
It's hard to respect the opinion of someone who lists Kovalev and Pacquiao among the ten most boring boxers in the sport. Kovalev is a thrilling fighter to watch. He is a seek and destroy KO artist. He isn't a wrestler or a clincher. He is always attacking with bombs from both hands behind a vicious jab and he damn near always gets the KO win. That's not boring to me. Pacquiao became a popular superstar mainly because of his lightning fast 100 hard punches a round attacking style. If you found him boring you are about the only guy who did. He isn't as exciting now in his old age but he is still not boring and people still love to watch him fight.
