Lemieux could have milked it...the ref should have at least offered him 5 min to recover, maybe he didn't cuz it was at the end of the round. Automatic point deduction either way. Just watched highlights of the fight, and forgot how prolific ggg's jab was...beautiful to watch him effortlessly control the distance with well timed jabs, in contrast to stevens being unable to deal with Lemieux walking in on him.
lmfao he does looks like a snotty liek bitch huh
Not anymore haha

If you look at the caption from GGG view you see Lemieux's head bent over in front of him. You don't see his foot or knee behind him on the matt it looks like he's weaving when you see him in front of you.
What we're seeing is a ringside "profile" fighters don't see what spectators see.
It was no big deal and I've seen most of Genady's bouts and he's a stand up guy when it comes to fighting cleanly.
He has a mean streak but he's not a cheap shot guy.
No big deal, the ref was ok not calling it a foul.
Ray
DL had too much honor to "play it out". He could have pulled a Dirrell and gotten the DQ since there isn't much else the ref can do in that situation.
Yes, Lemieux is a real man...
I always get these hate replies when i provide facts and evidence. They can't argue it so attack the poster instead. :lol1:
Why am I a crybaby? Common knowledge I'm not really a Golovkin fan so I don't care to defend him.
But you didn't answer my question. Why are you obsessed with him? To the point where you probably fantasize about him.
Seriously, seek some ****ing help and quit your "trolling" obsession.
A DQ seems a bit over the top, but was certainly worthy of a point deduction and Lemieux should of got some time to recover just like you would with a dick shot. In the end its not like it mattered, but the ref should of done a better job.
He hit the guy while he was down, this is coming from a Golovkin fan, he should have been DQ'd or at least 2 points taken away
Why do you think that? Because of how flagrant it was? For a supposed 'Golovkin fan' you sure do post a lot of seemingly biased 'questions' regarding him. Personally while it did look bad, he did appear to pull the punch at the end and did realize his error. I think it was a stupid moment on GGG's part that he got caught up in the heat of battle.
Lemmy wasn't injured by the foul, and could clearly continue. Therefore according to my understanding of boxing's rules, the referee has a LOT of discretion as to what to do. To me, a DQ would be ludicrous since it was GGG's first offense and again, did not clearly cause injury to Lemieux or prevent him from continuing.
Personally I would have been ok with a one-point deduction due to just how late this punch came, but anything beyond that seems overly punishing.
Lmao, like Roy Jones said during the telecast, he wouldve been DQ and banned from the sport if he did the same. But GGG was very lucky that day. That was worse then when Abraham hit Dirrell when he was down.
Roy Jones situation was different tho. Jones waited for a second before he punched Griffin. He did it out of frustration. The fact that Griffin milked it so hard by pretending to get knocked out didnt help him either
A point should be deducted any time a down opponent is hit. Two points if the opponent is hurt by the punch, or a DQ. It usually goes unpunished. Refs need to get a handle on it, and start deducting points for it. It seems to be happening quite a bit lately. Boxers know when a man is down, there is no excuse for some of these blatant fouls.
He hit the guy while he was down, this is coming from a Golovkin fan, he should have been DQ'd or at least 2 points taken awayYou don't disqualify the superior fighter unless its blatant and crown the inferior fighter the winner. While that sounds ghoulish, it's real.
Worthy of a point deduction but not a DQ, Lemule was ok. Had he flppped around on the ground like Montell Griffin did against Roy then it would have been a DQ. Roys late punch was probably a little more viscous though. I think Golovkin was trying to to pull it at the end.
many fighters have been DQ'd for doing this at best he should of been docked points for this. The reason he got away with this is Lemieux's reaction. Let's be real if Lemieux pulled a Montell Griffin and tried to sell the penalty by rolling around on the ground acting like he couldn't continue then maybe he is DQ'd. But it was DEFINITELY a dirty shot.
A WR is 10X more likely to get a holding call in the NFL if after being held if he throws his hands in the air to motion the ref or falls to the ground. In the NBA if you flop, hit the ground, scream to the ref you are more likely to get the offense call whistle. When really none of these actions should be required in determining whether a foul is required. When you do it you are called a baby or an actor by fans but this is why guys do it Lemieux took the shot with minimum reaction we have seen fighters cry to the ref for far less. But your opponent shouldn't have to roll around for the ref to notice a blatant loaded up shot to man who already took a knee.
