I feel he could. Looking at the champions there, possible future champs, guys taking part in eliminators..i'd give GGG the nod over some of them.
I don't think we will see it pan out though. I've got a feeling GGG vs Canelo will happen, but down the line. I see GGG sticking around 160 waiting for that fight which would limit the time factor for a run at SMW.
Can he move up to 168 and unify titles?
I don't think so. I don't think he has enough time. He's dicking around trying to get the Canelo fight and fooling around with 154 lbers. Boxing is all about money now and lining up fights when you aren't that much of a draw makes it harder. And he's not that young. I also don't think his team is interested despite what they say, they're looking to cash him out and it's not easy given his lack of drawing power.
Depends on whether he could walk down a Callum Smith, De Gale/Groves or Dirrel brother. Barring Callum, (who I'm not overly sold on) they've all tasted defeat. Would he carry the same power up from 160?. Eubank Jr seemed to lose power but then you look at Crawford & Loma who seem to have gained 'pop' climbing the ranks.
There's potential for him to do so but he's getting old!.
Because those guys were big for previous weight classes. Golovkin will for sure lose power at 168. He'll lose a lot and be at a disadvantage vs everyone. Abraham was massive at 160 and would kill himself, Roy Jones is a juicer and would show up at 180lbs on fight night at middleweight. Golovkin shows up around 168. At super-middleweight he'll be shorter, slower, lighter and not the have same punch but can compete just on skills. 168 is his limit.
Depends if the champs duck him then no.
Correct....otherwise he could clean out 154...finish up 160...blow thru 168...and still have time for a title at 175
There's quantity, but no quality. All B-level guys. Gotta wait and see for Zurdo. Fighting cans won't help him.
LHW by comparison has two A-level fighters, arguably four, and a crazy amount of contenders.
LHW is better certainly but I don't think GGGs frame can take him that high.
He could, but it's unlikely he will. Guys simply don't want to fight him. He may grab another strap, but at his age and the way boxing politics are I highly doubt it. It's to bad because the kid has the goods, he just needs the fights. If he really wants it he may have to swallow his pride.
Jacobs would get stopped by Groves, Dirrell, and DeGale, he has a shot against Bute but not the other 3
Groves sucks. He struggles with journeyman and mw's. Jacobs would ko him.
Jack lost to a d level fighter. Jacobs would absolutely destroy bute, groves, and dirrell. Probably beat degale too.

WTF?? Really??? How?? Jack has beaten Groves, Dirrell, Bute, and arguably DeGale, wtf has Jacobs done other than getting lucky against Quillin??? DeGale has beaten Dirrell and Bute, what has Jacobs done??

I don't agree with that. Jacobs hasn't proven such a thing by just beating Quillin, who has shied away from boxing since that loss in 2015 and before that had drawn with Lee, narrowly stopped Rosado in a controversial stoppage, and handily decisioned N'Dam.
Also, for years and years, GGG fans dissed Jacobs and Quillin as weak fighters. Too late to big them up now solely for this fight.
Sure jacobs lost to pirog a world class fighter. Jack got koed by a d level fighter and degale struggled with a guy that has 10 losses who's also d level.

168 aint that deep anymore with badau jack leaving to 175. Basically you ask the question could he beat Zurdo, degale, or groves.
I say he would beat all by TKO. He eventually end up at 168
Yeah, possibly. He's be a bit small at 168 but it's doable. If he beat Canelo he could call the shots though, and in that event I don't think he would bother moving when he's making 160 so comfortably.
well, maybe he would just make everyone fight him at 161.
A-side bidness doe
lol

Groves is a bum. Bute is shot. Dirrell is a journeyman. he drew with Degale who is not a better win than Quillin. Quillin was an undefeated champion.
Jack has drew with and went to split decisions with the contenders in his weight class.
Jacobs has stopped the contenders in his weight class. he's more dominant. he's P4P superior.
