Orlando Salido Appreciation Thread

Salido is a guy who you want by your side at the war. He comes for win, to deal a damage, doesn't care about rulese-shmules ugly-shmugly. P.S. Loma is a badass though, Siri is the worst possible match up for an amateur boxer.

There should be a **** Salido thread, because **** this cheating puto. They didn't want Loma to win so they did everything in there powers to have Salido win. Loma landed the better shots and outlanded him in the fight. **** Texas and **** Lawrence "The Hoe" Cole. If you know your history you would know that Cole favors certain fighters and Salido happens to land in that category.

In a rematch, Lomachenko would be well-prepared for Salido's dirty ass tactics. He would break him down and humiliate him. Not sure how you prepare for low blows. That's is a ref's job - to stop them. That ref was atrocious! There is a youtube clip on salido's low blows which lasts 8 F*CKING MINUTES!!!! But yes, other dirty tactics - holding, treading on feet, amoungst others i am sure he would be better prepared. In conclusion: I hated salidos tactics, but this is the pros. They are fighting for their career and will do whatever it takes to win. For me, this will go down in history as a classic - the difference between veteran pro and gold medal amateur styles, where all the old tricks are on display.

The truth is that Loma is still a very good amateur star masquerading as a professional, he'll never be used to in fighting or body shots. I will say this about Salido, doesn't matter who the opponent is, he is coming to take you to war. Pretty much the definition of a "fan friendly" fighter. Hope he can get healthy because there are some great fight to be had at 130. Really want to see him fight Miura and have rematches with Vargas and Lomachenko. Salido is a true warrior and has been in probably a dozen classic fights over the years, hopefully there are many more to come!

Remember seeing him against JMM. I didn't think much of him, but now, he's one of my favorites to watch and has been for awhile. Who else thinks he was on his way to breaking Mikey Garcia down before the nose injury? At least really complicating things for Mikey down the stretch. that fight was definitely getting interesting, that's for sure. i lost some respect for garcia after that stunt. it just goes to show the heart that salido has. he was getting demolished for the first half of that fight but there's zero quit in the dude.
