Why is it bigger names are willing to face a guy like Kovalev who is the most feared man at light heavy. Yet Golovking cant find some one worth a damn to step in with him without needing a couple years to prepare and/or needing a huge payout?
Kovalev takes every fight with no excuses. Hopkins? Sure, lets do it. Paschal? Sure, lets do it. Paschal wants it again? Sure lets do it. Kovalev just fights and doesn't act like he's too big of a name to fight anybody. Kovalev would've been fought Lara by now if Kovalev was being called out by him. GGG on the other hand, Ward? No financial sense. Lara? He doesn't sell tickets. GGG has an excuse for the better opponents he could've faced.
Because Bernard Hopkins had the balls to step in the ring with Kovalev and give Kovalev a chance to make his name. If Golovkin got that same chance with Martinez or Cotto, he'd be in great shape. If Hopkins had not fought Kovalev, no one else would have either.
My thoughts exactly.
I have to disagree both men have fought the same class of fighters since making their HBO debuts and both are still having big issues getting a top guy in the ring for this year.
Jesus Christ, this bullspit again? In what world have Kovalev and g string fought the same level of opposition?
Are you related to g string? Man crush? What?
So did Ggg, he was happy to take under 30% vs Chavez. Lemieux got almost purse parity, Saunders offered 3m+. It's not the money dude
Ok you make a good point. Green k sent

B-Hop and Pascal are bigger names than anyone GGG has faced.
Let's not forget that kkkov agreed to the short money to be able to make the fights happen. Cleverly, Pascal and hopkins all got the lionshare

That is not even remotely close to true.

Kovalev has fought the better competition thus far and is contracted to fight Ward soon...how does GGG's resume even come close?
Hopkins and Pascal are **** talkers but they're also willing to lay it down in the ring and gain respect in the end
GGG is in a division of Adonis Stevensons and fighters from other divisions who are "dabbling" long enough to win a title like Cotto/Canelo

For starters Hopkins and Pascal have bigger balls than the entire middleweight division combined. It's too bad their hasn't been an equivalent of fighters for Gennady yet.

Because kkov had to earn everything he has. Gg has been given everything on a silver platter by hbo l. Also kkkov dares to be great. He went to fight his opponents in their backyard. He agreed to a smaller purse for hia fights against pascal clEverly and hopkins. imagine if kkkov hid from his opponents by saying that I am the A side blah blah
He even agreed to split 50% and give stevenson home court advantage
Because Kov was happy to take short money through his career to get to this stage where is golovkin thought he was a super star 3 years ago. Honestly I blame Sanchez for this, he was chatting breeze for so long ggg bought his own hype before doing anything. It's pathetic.
