GGG would box Canelo like he did Lemieux and win either by UD or TKO.
Canelo drops his hands too low much to often. Go watch any of his fights. You will see an exchange like this go down:

Canelo has some heavy hands with decent speed, but the same thing could be said of Lemieux in both cases and yet he found himself having a difficult time landing anything. Not just that, but Lemieux is 1" taller than Canelo, and although I think Canelo has a better jab I think he will be negated easily by GGG's jab.
Maybe, I don't think either men can go 12 without getting Knocked down several times or KTFO'd IMHO
True. but golovkin isn't good at setting the pace. he's notorious for cutting of the ring and attacking his prey. ive watched him closely. and the trick to beating golovkin is being slick and having the stamina to escape his assault.
if Cotto and Nelo can prepare themselves for this type fight I see the outcome favoring them. if they get over zealous and try to bang with Gennady then it's lights out!
Golovkin kills both Cotto and Canelo. But he makes love to them first.
He breaks them down piece by piece, until they offer up their gentle flower to him. Like every other opponent. Their competitive soul is sucked out from them.
Imo I think both fighters are skilled and possess a tremendous amount of ring IQ. Golovkin is dangerous but if Cotto / Canelo can weather the storm in the earlier rounds, and come in with a solid game plan I think either man can walk away with a decision.
I can't disagree with that. I don't think he'll "kill them" per say, but I definitely favor him over both those guys, especially at the 160lb limit. Both guys will give him a fight, and I think Canelo would give him more trouble than Cotto would at this point. As a matter of fact, I can see GGG being the type of guy that would send Cotto into retirement. But I think he's too big, and too strong for either guy. I'd love to see him take the winner of that fight though.
How did Maidana translate from 140 to 147 against Floyd? How did Maidana look at 147? Maidana beating an old Morales is like Canelo fighting an old Mosley?
Canelo is a serious accurate puncher, combo puncher, and counter attacker. Do you think Geale could last against Canelo the way he did against Cotto or GGG?
Everybody favored Kirkland to bulldoze Canelo. What happened? Canelo doesn't get enough credit. That young lad has a ways to go an only time will tell when those two meet.
"The oddsmakers have made Alvarez a heavy 4-25 favorite"
This alt needs to be retired. Come back with another one
Nobody doubts GGG's power, however, against Cotto the first round will determine any factor. First off Cotto is a master at deflecting jabs and can move around in the proces WITH one guard up, usually his right glove. That style of boxing from Cotto is what is expected for the judges. GGG will have to try and cutt off the ring. If he can't put Cotto on the canvas once, I doubt, and perhaps controversial, but I doubt they will give it to GGG.
Regarding Canelo, that kid ate all them shots from Kirkland, and GGG does not fight like Kirkland. People seem to forget that Canelo has a sick defense against jabs and has has a crazy long reach. Id put my money on Canelo beating GGG in the championship rounds. GGG cant go the distance with an Alvarez.
lololol at this retarded troll. Canelo goes the distance with weak chinned Trout, Lara and shot Mosley but he'll stop GGG? Then again I've seen your other posts, and this is par for the course
You're right, he's a blown up Light Middleweight. Light Middleweight is where he is best at. I see Cotto putting up a good fight but I think Golovkin's plan would be to come in fight night 10 pounds heavier than him and just over power him with sheer size. T

Agreed Cotto would be overwhelmed ...Can't see him last to long against him if he's rehydrated to 168 - 170 to much for him to deal with .

...c'mon man, stop wasting my time. Did you just want to bring up Floyd for no apparent reason? How did Maidana translate from 140 to 147 against Alexander? I have no idea the point you're trying to make.
this canelo hype is so strange. I just don't get what Canelo has done to show you guys he'd be competitive versus Golovkin. Did he have a fight recently that I missed? Was it the massive gaps of inactivity versus Trout that impressed you? Was it his performance versus Mosley? Was it the way he boiled down to 152 and sat in that chair? the Angulo performance? the Kirkland performance?
He's a solid fighter, but there's just no way I can see him troubling Golovkin. Like it or not, there are levels, and Golovkin is on another one.
Well Cotto isn't a real MW so that's a given

He has a good chance of beating either guy, but it won't be a repeat of Saturdays fight. Those two are skilled elite fighters, Canelo is also a big kid and Cotto has a very good jab to go along with the powerful left hook. So no no I don't think he can kill either guy.
i think canelo would put up a good fight.. cotto though is way too small, didnt he weigh 153 vs geale lol
Thats why I don't see Cotto fighting GGG without a catchweight. Too much of a size advantage.
He'd destroy both of them on the same night. Put them both in their with him at the same time, they'd both **** themselves. Cotto's knee wouldn't leave the canvas, but even that wouldn't save him against GGG.
Pretty sure he does. He cuts the ring off too well for either guy to avoid heavier trades as the fight goes on. Both get some good work in against him, but both buckle in the face of his pressure eventually.
Don't think he would get any credit for Cotto. But if he beat down Canelo it would be impressive.
So Hagler didn't have an interesting career? Hopkins career at mw wasn't interesting?
Their best wins are against welterweights who moved up.
I see your point....if he unifies and breaks Hops title defence record then it will be a great achievement but by 'interesting' I mean competitive, I don't see any competitive fights for GGG at 160.
