There is stations for the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, Tennis, Nascar and Golf. I think there is a Soccer/ Futbol network also. So, will we ever get one? Will it work with so many promoters?
The way things are going, boxing may not even be around in 25 years and football will be a non-contact sport. The more medical science learns about the risks of these sports, the less popular they will become for parents to enroll their kids in and the more regulated they will become. I can see a world in the not too distant future where all combat and high contact sports are essentially banned or regulated to the point of being a mere shadow of what they are today.
sweden already banned boxing for a long time, right? (and then unbanned it some years ago)
if my country ever bans boxing i'm moving to china
Once PBC or some entity post-PBC's failed attempt to take over boxing creates a NFL of boxing something along these lines will take off I'm sure. If that happens in 5 years or 25 years is the only question. You need a elite level consistent product to sell to the public for this to happen & thats only happening if there are less chiefs & more indians in boxing.

The MMA formula or something to that nature is the only way forward, but boxing promoters will not let it happen. Maybe we need teams? Haymon, Top Rank, Roc Nation...fighters in each division? But the old way no longer works. The pac people can get behind Top Rank, Floyd people can get behind Haymon, Mexicans can get behind Oscar, and PR people can get behind Roc Nation...We need a new formula and leave the old behind because it doesnt work. They can draft amateur boxers and of course they will need a salary cap with the extra money going to the league. Any other ideas?:boxing:

even poker just started one october 2nd its a shame tho cause no one has a huge treasure trove of content everything is so divided up. i remember when espn classic used to have boxing on i loved watching the old fights
HELL NO! Boxing is not that popular, look at what happened to Oscar with his old show, it failed. Look at PBC he thought there was enough boxing fans to support it, look on this site, the so called "hardcore" boxing fans dont support it, because of boxer affiliations. Boxings problems are being layed out to bare doing this internet age. No one can accept a loss without it being a robbery or someone being paid off. So only ko's will suffice and even then youre fighting bums. You cant win with boxing there are too many "other" reasons fans believe you win, and hard work is not one of them to be considered. And 1 loss youre ruined and a bum...lol. BOXING HAS STUPID FANS, look in the mirror. We have sh1t for fans, they all think they know more than actual boxers or trainers. Maybe we need a internet show with boxing fans with known screen names fighting...
I think it have to be a combat channel that includes boxing, mma, etc
No boxing and MMA are distant rivals. That would be like NFF Network showing Arena Football games or NBA TV televising And 1 Streetball tournaments.
NEVER! Boxing is not even that Popular, a network would be a total flop. They all need to focus on getting consistent Ratings on other Networks before staring their own.
Anybody seen the Ratings this past weekend? Boxing took a major L, Ratings was absolute Sh1t for both events to no surprise. Not only did they go up against a huge College football game which Drew 7.6 Millions Views but also a big UFC PPV Event
Boxing has a long way to go in America, if anything is seems to be declining badly
Nope. Never gonna happen. With major league sports, there is one governing body that controls the sport. This is not a possibility with boxing. Other sports such as hockey, baseball, football, etc... all have players' unions to represent the athletes, something else that does not and really can not exist in boxing due to the way the sport is structured.
So the only possible way is if something like a WBC or WBA Network. Or a Top Rank or PBC network.
