It all stems from negatively towards a fighter or a certain group of fighters. Fans slew hatred towards certain fighters and then have to backtrack when the dudes they put on a pedestal do the exact same thing. For certain fighters, not taking risk is a business decision. But when it comes to a fighter they hate it's a duck. For some fighters, titles are meaningless and gift wrapped. For the fighters they love, collecting belts is a major accomplishment and winning titles in multiple divisions is great. Look at Pac fans, drug testing is now cool. Since when is losing a title fight or not moving up in weight a boxing sin? Also, moving up in weight and acquiring straps doesn't necessarily make you a great, take Broner for example. Fought relatively weak competition and lost when he stepped up, but managed to rack up belts due to matchmaking. Also, the love/hate towards fighters has a lot to do with the individual preferences of the fans. Neither you nor me can change their perception of certain fighters, regardless of how many redundant and pointless threads you make.
