OP must have posted this thread to ease all of his pain that Golovkin has been giving him. He knows what the result would be.
Of course! Kovalev ranks higher... It is a farce that Golovkin ranks higher than him right now.
????? i am lost..i havent even been on here lately
Kovalev deserves to be higher.
Ring: Golovkin #4, Kovalev #7
TRB: Kovalev #8, Golovkin #9
TRB have the better rankings but they have Tim Bradley at #5, something about that doesn't sit right with me.
It's a bit of a popularity contest PFP, better known fighter or fighters with certain nationalities get elevated.

Kovalev, and it's not even a debate. He's just as dominant against better competition, and has showcased more skill in those wins against better competition.
It depends on what you base your P4P rankings on. Kovalev has a better resume, but Golovkin has more of an invisibility aura about him, imo he's the better fighter.
Kovalev has the better resume. He is clearly top 10 p4p. How wrd is stil in the top 10 after all that inactivity and poor competition is
a joke.
Ward is not ranked by anyone..what are you talking about?
Kovalev or GGG vote and discuss
GGG shouldn't be ranked in the top 10 at all.
As for Kovalev, he is nothing compared to the one-armed Filipino ninja who bravely won 10 rounds against Floyd Mayweather even though he was unable to throw a single punch with his right hand (even though those clowns at Compubox claimed that he threw over 200 punches with his right hand), had rotator cuff surgery three days later and has made a miraculous recovery after doing his own physical rehab. He would beat GGG and Kovalev on the same night......with one arm.....:nutkick:
It is a difficult one to decide without a fanboy/hater type attidude. Personally both have equally good resumes but far from great. Kovalev has the small satisfaction of beating a legend in Hopkins and did so quite easily and Gennady only misses out on that specific part of his resume is a legend type fighter. Saying that does one win against Pascal, mean more than Murray or Rubio? Does the win against Cleverly mean more than Macklin or Stevens?
I'll go with Kovalev just based of Hopkins but it's not a big difference in my view... Then again Kovalev has also had the lesser of the fights.
Hopkins and Pascal are way better than any wins on Golovkin's resume.
It's not even debatable.
