Maybe a competitive match-up at some point/no more terrible announcing, terrible and goofy ring entrances, and overall high school level production #Warhaymon
Hello Mike. Im Chief, and I only keep HBO and Sho for Boxing. I don't have Cinemax because it doesn't show any Boxing, and if it did then I would pay the extra money for the channel.
Now yes I will watch the shows on HBO or Sho which is simply just a plus to me, as I could watch those shows on Netflix, But I truly only have those channels because the regularly show Boxing.
See. Now you've finally met someone who only has those channels because of Boxing. :fing02:
Nice to meet you, green k sent.
See,this is the thing that I'm not really understanding about this whole free vs paid for boxing. I have showtime and hbo because I enjoy watching their movies, and that's the service I pay for. Last time I checked, there's no extra fee every time that there's boxing,so boxing events are basically a free bonus that come along with the movies that I watch. Now,if you compare the quality of hbo and showtime, they are both head and shoulders above pbc in multiple aspects. That's just my personal opinion, and I have yet to meet a person that pays a monthly subscription to hbo or showtime, only for boxing and not to watch movies.
You are one of the few, tbh. Most people on sites like this one don't really care much for the rest of the programming on the channel; when Floyd et al made the move to Showtime, I picked up Showtime, nominally to catch all of the fights but also ended up enjoying Homeland and 1 or 2 other shows, in addition to the occasional movie (prior to the move over, I'd simply head to my usual sports bar to catch the fights).
Outside of Hopkins-Kovalev, I hadn't ventured out to see any other fight offered by HBO (I'll read the reports, and double back to seeing the fight if it comes up in a point I'm making, but beyond that there's no HBO in my orbit).
Cotto-Canelo definitely has my interest, and I'll tune in for any Andre Ward fight; beyond that HBO has nothing in the cue that interests me, so why bother with the channel?

free doesn't mean good. It means free.
If someone offers you free food that taste like shit, you don't eat it and pretend it's good just because it free.
Of course, you could eat it, realize it taste like shit, but just grin and bear it and yell ''mmm yummy'' as the shit oozes out between your teeth..just because you like the guy who is offering it.
Different strokes for different folks.
*you're not a real boxing fan if you don't like doe.
**you're jealous of haymon if you don't like it doe.
the thing is tho that pbc isnt even worse than hbo. No ring girls doe.. I wanna see lampley cry doe.. Doesnt feel the same.. People are upset about the ring walks... Cmon now

This worked back in the Golden age of boxing when Bob Arum was giving the public megafight after megafight. Only a retard would defend Haymon for the crap he's pulling here. Any PPV worthy fight is still going to be on PPV and Showtime are still going to get first dibs on buying fights they really want like they've done recently with Wilder and Chavez.
Or we could have GGG v ...hold on im asking the cashier at Safeway his name, and we will pay for it. Yay!!
Or Timmy Bradley vs Jesse Vargas II or kov vs mohammedi... Or even better, pascal vs a certified #47 rank Gonzalez!!!
