The likes of Thurman, Maidana, Matthysse when he moves up and even Khan based on his speed and Tims inability to punch.
The man got put on rollerskates by a guy who hits as hard Paulie Malignaggi on steroids...
I know Tim can be great when he boxes but he just seems too dumb in the ring to avoid a monstrous shot by the likes of the 3 big punchers above, and they're a heck of a lot more precise with their shots than Provodnikov.
His punch resistance will only bail him out for so long until its night night.
the ignorance is embrassing
vargas bent his knees, punched with velocity through the target and got his whole weight behind the punch and landed on the button in the 12th round and rocked tim so therefore timmy doesnt have an iron chin anymore?
When he's looking for the knockout he only looks for the right hand, that's his issue.
Anyone will be able to counter him and that's why he gets clocked so bad by right hand counters.
If he had mixed in more left hooks in the Vargas fight he would've dominated it like he did in the 7th(or whichever rd it was)
Agreed, vargas couldnt have asked for a more perfect shot to land, and he couldnt even drop him. Yes,he was visibly hurt, but theres no way in hell that vargas was finishing him with 7 seconds to go.
Guys chin is unreal!
He has got to be one of the best condition boxers in the world. Guy can fight and box too. Absolute beast.
I think there is a connection between the same ref not counting a knockdown of Bradley in the provo fight and saving tim from another knockdown. ref seems to be doing what he was paid to do
Bradley vs Alexander, Abregu, Witter.
Barnburners!!
It seems like i'm going crazy when I read all this "Timmeh's never been in a boring fight".
Eh, yes he has? He has like one rewatchable fight from his entire career.
Really? I remember nothing but boring fights. Except for the Provodnikov fight and maybe Pacquiao II.

Sooooo true, I cannot remember a boring TB fight.:boxing:

Seriously? Bradley was ****ing him up till that punch, Tim chose to be aggressive as he didn't respect Vargas' power and it worked a treat till round 12. I still got him up there behind Mayweather and Pacquiao. I have him beating Thurman and Brook, yes I rate him high.
At this point TB couldn't beat Amir Khan, let alone guys like Brook or Thurman. He's a top 10 welterweight, but he shouldn't step in with Brook/Thurman.
Him and Khan should fight to see who's the best of the rest.
He's shown that he can fight a discplined fight against an A level opponent in Juan Manuel Marquez, I think the stakes in this fight were too high that he was very careful and I think against a good puncher he'll do the same. Against Vargas he really didn't have to be careful since Vargas isn't a big puncher at all, plus Bradley was winning the exchanges due to his speed, skills and shorter arms and he was effective coming forward and in close, so I don't understand why he should've boxed if coming forward was effective against a guy that had 33% KO ratio. He just made a mistake and got caught by a good punch at the end of the fight, so what? it happens in boxing u lose focus towards the end of the fight and u make a dumb mistake.
I thought Bradley did well and I hope he steps it up in his next fight.
The problem with Timmy is that he can be unfocus and be made to brawl easily, he respect JMM enough not to brawl with him. All he needs to do is box a lot of this guys but he isn't intelligent enough to do this, he did the same thing with Kendal holt where he nearly got KO, but when he focus and box holt he beats him easily.
He needs to stop loading up his shots. Hes so self conscious about his power that hes constantly open to huge counters trying to get his opponent out of there. Nothings really wrong with his chin, he just ran into that punch like a freight train.
As I say anytime Bradley at 147 is mentioned; entirely too small for the weight.
His chin is suspect at the weight, we have seen him rocked in several fights since the Provodnikov fight. He Was completely gone at the end of that fight due to a single punch from a small, non-puncher in Vargas.
He gets hit, and there is no chance he can take the power of a Thurman or Brook who will hit him with accurate, big shots.
He only got reckless because he was fighting Vargas(a fighter with no power) and got caught by a good punch square on the chin. Against JMM he did eveything right and didnt take any dumb risks. If he fought Thurman I think he would box his ears off, Now Marcos punches in weird angles he might catch him. Matthysse would beat this version of Tim and Khan gets KO'ed by a light hitting Bradley because if Kidd Diaz could hurt Khan anyone could.
Eh, Bradley would beat Maidana so easily Marcos would consider retirement again, if he hasn't already.
Thurman and Matthysse need to be avoided by most fighters, they'd be rough fights that I don't think Tim could handle at this point in his career, but a prime Tim would probably beat Lucas and probably wouldn't do badly vs Keith either.
Khan just basically drew with Algieri and was hurt multiple times. Nobody needs to be avoiding Khan.
He's been at this weight all his life, even at the amateurs he used to fight at 147/154 lbs. He isn't gonna be able to cut weight to make 140 at this age.
He can sweat down to 140, he barely gains anything on fight night at welterweight
He's not cut out for WW, he's too small, too short and stocky for the division. 140 is where he belongs.
