Forget about mayweather-khan,bring on khan-algieri 2. This fight showed that khan is nowhere near world class level, and the moment that he faces even a little bit of pressure from a fighter,he runs, clinches, and tries throwing flashy combos at the opponents gloves. I had the fight 6-6,but just that fact that khan was getting backed up,and wobbled by a soft puncher like algieri, makes me want to give Chris the nod. Its no wonder that haymon want to keep khan away from anyone with pop in their punch. With that being said,I'd actually see mayweather knicking out khan, due to the fact that algieri was clocking khan all night long with the right hand, jab, and check left hook.
I thought Algieri won. Khan didn't get the easy fight he wanted. No way in hell cherry picker Khan rematches Algieri and I pray he doesn't get the Mayweather fight. That would be a clinching, wrestling fight between two octopus. Mayweather is an octopus who can really fight and he would finish Khan off with straight rights.
Define world class, Khan is in the top 5 of the best weight division in boxing.
He clearly beat Algieri, and it was a cherry picked fight tbh. Khan should really be fighting Thurman/Brook.
Top 5? How?
Who wants to see this again? this fight wasn't exciting. It was boring. It had action, but it was boring. Two powerless dudes trying to hurt each other, with many clinches in the middle. Khan didn't look any good but in the rematch the outcome would be the same.
Algieri isn't a new unproven guy anymore, I don't know why beating him (albeit narrowly) disqualifies you from being world class. He went 12 rds with Pacquaio, beat Provodnikov, and now a very close fight with Khan who just embarrassed Devon Alexander.
Time to admit he's not as bad as we thought. He just moves a lil funny.
In no way was I bringing down Chris, in fact he earned my full respect tonight. But the fact remains that Chris is no puncher by any stretch of the imagination, and continuously walked down khan, and rocked him a few times. It seemed that the moment that khan faced a bit of resistance, his plan went out the window, and he hoped that his fast hands would win him rounds. If only Chris could counter a bit better,I could actually see him dropping khan in the rematch.
Clear win for Khan. A rematch with maidan, garcia, peterson would all be better than a rematch with algeri. But he should look at brook next if no floyd fight.

Bring on Algieri vs Maidana!

In no way did he "clearly" beat algieri. If you consider using headlocks, and running around the ring against a fighter who can't punch"clearly" then khan won by a huge margin. BTW,with tonights performance, both Thurman and brook put khan to sleep before the 8th.
